Posted September 23, 200915 yr Every year around this time of year there are a ton of albums by big artists that come out here are the biggest of the lot (in my opinon). What do you think will do well and what do you think will flop. These are the ones I think will be hits. Susan Boyle - I Dreamed A Dream Alexandra Burke - Overcome Cheryl Cole - Three Words Foo Fighters - Greatest Hits Alicia Keys - TBA Leona Lewis - Echo Madonna - Celebration - (already been released hasn't charted) Chris Moyles - The Parody Album Pope Benedict XIV - Alma Mater - Music from the Vaitcan Snow Patrol - Up To Now Take That - Live and Unplugged Robbie Williams - Reality Killed the Video Star Will Young - The Hits Oh and I have just read on NME Michael Jackson is releasing a new compilation album it may do well but it has a new single on so could do well. September 23, 200915 yr "Pope Benedict XIV - Alma Mater - Music from the Vaitcan" will go straight to #1 Very much doubt any of the others will even make the top 75
September 23, 200915 yr Chris Moyles - Parody Album ????? Is this for real, because his parodies (with the exception of the Stanta) make Katy Brand song parodies seem like Monty Python at their funniest in comparison. :manson:
September 23, 200915 yr Author I very much think Pope Benedict XIV will do pretty much what The Priests did last year I think. Will the oldies buying records at the moment this could sell well and Chris Moyles is doing an album look on the release schedule and that sell a fair few copies as well.
September 23, 200915 yr I think Chris Moyles will sell very well on the week of release. Radio 1 listeners buy anything he tells them to buy
September 23, 200915 yr I Think Foo Fighters will be Top 5, if not number 1, and hopefully Robbie Williams' album will do really well too
September 23, 200915 yr Some other moderately big albums to look out for include: Paramore - Brand New Eyes Editors - In This Light And On This Evening Mariah Carey - Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel Chipmunk - I Am...Chipmunk Shakira - She Wolf Taio Cruz - Rockstarr Whitney Houston - I Look To You Michael Buble - Crazy Love Bon Jovi - The Circle Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions JLS (X Factor) - JLS Stereophonics - Keep Calm & Carry On Sugababes - Sweet 7 (title to be changed?) Ronan Keating - New Album TBC N-Dubz - New Album TBC Norah Jones - The Fall Rihanna - New Album TBC Queen - Absolute Greatest 50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct
September 23, 200915 yr JLS album is blatantly going to be massive. I can honestly see JLS outlasting Alexandra. Hopefully Biffy album will be big too.

September 23, 200915 yr I think you can take the Take That album out of the equation. It really is aimed just at existing fans ... its something they've (we've) wanted for ages. We've been discussing this in the TT forum and we all agree it won't make any impact on the album chart. I think they can take comfort in that their tour DVD will be topping the music DVD chart on its release. Its tipped to be the biggest selling UK music dvd of all time ... they only have themselves to beat as the Beautiful World Tour DVD is currently the biggest ever seller (which itself remained at number 1 on the music DVD chart for 10 weeks). I think the dark horse in all the autumn releases is going to be that JLS one. Other than that the only serious contender I can see to Robbie Williams is Leona Lewis (and I think with release dates he'll still get at least one week at the top). Norma

I just saw Take That and the word album whether or not it's a live album and thought massive.
September 23, 200915 yr Lady GaGa - The Fame: Monster Why do people keep missing her off their hit lists
September 23, 200915 yr I think Mariah's album will be another flop it seems doomed with its release date being moved back for more rerecording no doubt. Plus wot sounds like tourcher of a release her version (YES ANOTHER COVER VERSION) of wait for it Foreigners - I Wanna Know Wot Love Is will not improve chances of a hit album. Once a classic 80s power ballad now to be ruined & hated because its being rerecorded by The Wharbler that is Miss Carey I think Madonna's album will sell more late Novemeber & December  as G.Hits albums generally do, the dvd will def sell loads as more songs are on the dvd that people love that are not included for wotever reason on the 2 disc cd . Leona, S.B & Alexander will sell loads ( xfactor influence etc) but as for Robbie, hmmm not convinced esp as Bodies sounds like a Rudebox reject. Time will tell eh!!!!!!
September 23, 200915 yr Michael Jackso has an album out too. Sony Music has confirmed that it plans to release a new Michael Jackson album and single. The song 'This Is It' will be made available on October 12, two weeks prior to the release of the concert film of the same name, Entertainment Weekly reports. The track will appear on a two-disc compilation - also titled This Is It - that will follow on October 26. "Disc one will feature the original album masters of some of Michael's biggest hits arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film," according to the record label. "The disc ends with two versions of the never-released 'This Is It'. This song is featured in the film's closing sequence and includes backing vocals by Michael's brothers, the Jacksons." The second disc will feature "previously unreleased versions" from the late King Of Pop's catalogue of hits. It will also include a spoken word poem entitled Planet Earth and a 36-page commemorative booklet with "exclusive photos of Michael from his last rehearsal". Former Sony CEO Tommy Mottola recently said that fans can expect to enjoy new music from the popstar for "decades to come".

September 24, 200915 yr I hope Subo does well here & america she may even beat britney over there. Madonna may sell well at christmas it depends how well the revolver promo goes and maybe even price may help her stick around.
