07 QUOTOSIBB (BJSC 13) A.R. Rahman ft M.I.A. 'O...Saya' (10 pts)

I'd always loved a bit of M.I.A. so it was hardly surprising I liked this as much as I did. Like 'Meddle', this went to the top of my personal chart. Perhaps bizarrely, none of the top 6 have, although one will soon!

06 OJNOJ (BJSC 18) Solange Knowles 'Cosmic Jorney' (DNQ)

He didn't enter it but I have Aaron to thank for this. I never listen to the songs from the opposite which don't qualify but his description of this made me want to listen to it and I'm glad I did. It's wonderful and I prefer it to anything her sister has ever released. Criminal that this didn't reach the final. :(

Top 5 later!

I'm pleased to see two of my entries make this, but I'm almost more proud of this one. Gutted that this missed the final too, by only one point as well, it got my 12. (lately that's a bad sign, see Solange, Christina Milian, High Places and your own Buraka Som Sistema :() Stunning song, certainly more artistic than any Beyoncé song. Kinda wish I sent it over Video Villain now, so more people were forced to hear it.

AMAZING! :o Kleerup feat. Lykke Li, Lorelei and Jessica Jarrell are Top 10 in my favourite discoveries I think! Nice to see two of my entries in your countdown too! :o
Good to see 'White' making the chart, at the time of enterring 'Ice' I was so set on enterring that as I thought it was superior, a few people's thoughts changed my mind however but I'm so glad I did eventually get round to enterring it ^_^
23 FSR RONTVIA (BJSC 7) Maria & Mira 'Mine All Mine' (12 pts)

The first song I awarded 12 points to to appear and the first song to appear from the country that tops my voting history. A Eurovision entrant and the person who sung 'Headhunted'? This should be awful. It's far from it though.

 I was and still am shocked that you like this so much!

Not many people seemed to like this much, but I thought it was excellent. A real understated gem and one of Rontvia's best entries.

so pleased I'm not the only one that liked this

 It is a wonderful song, I don't see how it didn't qualify. Too short attention spans, obviously. :(

05 RIVANDIA (BJSC 5) Yelle 'À Cause Des Garçons' (7 pts)

This was a bit of a weird one. I thought it was a really good song and downloaded it, but then pretty much forgot about it. Then about three months later, I put my iTunes on shuffle and this came on. Forgetting where I'd got it from I then tried to do a Mikey and try and enter it. :magic:

5 appearences for Rivandia! :o

04 CAMDONIA (BJSC 20) Jemina Pearl ft Iggy Pop 'I Hate People' (DNQ)

This was by some distance the highlight of a fairly average contest and should probably be higher. However as I've only known it a short while I shan't put it up to the #2 spot I'm sure it will end up taking just yet...

Never heard that Iggy pop track - I like it! Certainly very good on first liste and would have got votes from me had I been in that semi.

It wouldn't be right if the country at the top of my voting history didn't appear in the top 15. But they do, with what is I think by far their best entry. A truly deserving (if surprising) winner, a beautifully understated song.

Why hasn't she been a massive success? :( This won my 12 in what was my favourite contest so far. The Knife's 'Heartbeats' is a song I truly adore and any song that managed to score more points than it had to be special. And there were two of them....

Was it ever going to be anything else? It was a song which divided opinion as soon as it was confirmed but I thought it was fairly great from first listen. It just kept growing all the time (and to be honest, never really stops) and ended up being #3 on my end of year chart and has become my 2nd most played song since setting up my Last.fm account just over 2 years ago. This has gone on to become my favourite song from BJSC. I think I like this more than anything I've entered!
