June 18, 201015 yr how much is Up selling per week in comparrison to Ego that may give an indicator as to what will end up being the bigger hit! Up is no-where to be seen in the iTunes top 300, but 'Ego' is currently floating around #200-#250 positions day-to-day and has been for the past week. It may scrape another 2 weeks in the Top 300 I think. Total sales of around 290k in the end I think.
June 18, 201015 yr LOL. Some people are a tad OTT in here. I personally can see nothing wrong in them doing this. It's no different to GaGa doing 'The Fame Monster' or PCD doing 'Doll Domination: The Mini Collection'. Also, adding 'Ego' could only help boost 'Ego''s total tally to over 300k?
June 18, 201015 yr i think its more a case of TFM and Doll Domination where like reissues where as this is a standalone EP from a poorly performing album
June 25, 201015 yr Hopefully the new album/EP/re-issue or whatever it is, helps boost 'Ego' over 300k! :D
June 29, 201015 yr So. What are the chances of Channel 4 showing their 'Ego' performance from T4 On The Beach on Sunday? Could that help boost it do you think? CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THEM! :w00t:
June 29, 201015 yr I think as it's their big hit of the year they will. I Imagine they'll play 2/3, Ego and Missing You are definitely going to be shown.
June 29, 201015 yr They should so what Sugababes did with About You Now and release an acoustic, live version. That would boost sales, im not so sure people are gonna go buying the same track again just because its on a new EP. Una did an amazing spin of Ego on an Irish tv show.
June 30, 201015 yr Ya i agree Una did a fantastic job that night with Ego and it would add sales to it. I still think it is right to have ego on the upcoming album as it was a big seller for them, it may attract a few more people into buying the album aswell.

That's just like saying you think 'The Promise' should be on Girls Aloud's next album, just because it was a big seller. People want new music and you can't keep relying on old material.

People want new music and you can't keep relying on old material. Difference is The Saturdays only sold about 1/7 of 'Wordshaker' that Girls Aloud did with 'Out of Control', so why would GA need to have 'The Promise' on their next album.. everyone has it. Think about it... 'Wordshaker' = 75k+ 'Out of Control' =700k+
June 30, 201015 yr The girls aloud the promise comparison is ridiculous, girls aloud were not in any danger of being dropped so they didnt need to rely on the big hit to secure the album sales, its completly different for the saturdays,my point was they need to do everything they can to make sure this album does reasonably well and outsell wordshaker which has very disapointing sales. My daughter for example has not got wordshaker, we bough the first album instead however is the new album does include ego we will buy it as that is the song that really made my daughter who is 8 really take notice of them. I didnt buy wordshaker for her as there was rumours of a deluxe version been released so i decided to hold back. I think there are more people like myself who held back on buying wordshaker for the same reasons as myself.

Think about it... 'Wordshaker' = 75k+ 'Out of Control' =700k+Took the words (and improved them :heehee:) right out of my mouth. Also agree with Phil. I most certainly held back on buying 'Wordshaker' (although I adore the album!) because of rumours of a Deluxe I honestly wasn't waiting for it to go into HMV's "2 for £10" sale   But since I knew they weren't deluxing it, I was gonna buy it, but my HMV's have the album at £12.99! NO WAY am I paying that! I'll wait a little longer.
June 30, 201015 yr I was in HMV yesterday (not a local one, one right in town) and it had a ton of CD's. Practically the whole shop was littered with shelves upon shelves of CD's. In the "S" section I found The Saturdays but only Chasing Lights was there, no Wordshaker. When did they stop stocking it? I know it flopped but surely if it was in the public eye it might slowly pick up a few more sales..?
July 2, 201015 yr I think it should manage to pass 300k after the release of the 'Headlines' EP, I'm sure it will get some downloads from it. :D
July 2, 201015 yr All it takes is for it to be randomly used on a segment of X-Factor or something and it'll get a couple of hundred extra downloads. Plus it'll be performed on Sunday on T4 On The Beach so that'll get another thousand or two, then when Headlines is realised it'll be cherry picked, and it's already getting a couple hundred downloads a week anyway so yeah it should pass 300K before the end of the year. :)
