November 1, 200915 yr It's only being released 7" I think (which I am snapping up!). Will just be used as a hype single. I can't see it being very big, but I can see it getting re-released at some point, although I do hope not...
December 15, 200915 yr This song really isn't my cup of tea at all but I'm prepared to give her second single a chance seeing as she's one of the ones to watch next year.
December 16, 200915 yr This song really isn't my cup of tea at all but I'm prepared to give her second single a chance seeing as she's one of the ones to watch next year. Starry Eyed is the next single. It's on YouTube already as its been out since 4ever.
December 22, 200915 yr I    this and ellies guna b HUGE nxt yr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 22, 200915 yr I don't know why she's releasing 'Starry Eyed' next. 'Wish I Stayed' is far better imo! Shame 'Under the Sheets' didn't do much chartwise, although I guess that could be her 'Quicksand'.
December 22, 200915 yr I quite like some of her songs (but I LOVE her earlier stuff, like Wish I Stayed and Guns and Horses), but NOTHING that screams 'OMG MASSIVE HIT' yet. Under The Sheets and Starry Eyed need significant reswizzles if she wants epic hits from them, otherwise I just see her doing another Little Boots...except unlike Little Boots, from what I've heard so far I don't actually expect any hits.
December 22, 200915 yr Yeah, I definetly agree with Tron on this one. I must say - I can definetly see Ellie becoming this years Little Boots - as others have said, there is nothing that actually screams 'hit' - like IMO, Hollywood by Marina & The Diamonds actually does. I'd like to be proved wrong however. Edited December 22, 200915 yr by Bad Robmance
December 22, 200915 yr "Wish I Stayed" is the iTunes free song of the week by the way. I also agree with the comments about her not really having anything that screams hit yet. If she's got one ready, she certainly didn't show it when I saw her support Little Boots the other week. "Under The Sheets" was easily the most commercial song, followed by "Starry Eyed". I think the former would have been her ideal lead single, they missed a trick there.
December 23, 200915 yr They will re-relase Under The Sheets once she's big mark my words. Starry Eyed screams massive hit to me. Maybe not #1, but I sort of see her in the Florence mould - not a massive selling singles artist but big in albums. Saying that, I don't have a clue what other songs will be on the album. I've heard a lot of demos and they are very 'folky-indie-pop' but they will surely get the big production now she's big. Her style has never been that commerical, and from interviews i've read I don't think she wants to become this massive popstar (whereas I sort of got that impression from Little Boots). As long as she has got a good marketing team behind her then she'll do fine. All the stuff i've heard from her has been brilliant. Honestly cannot wait for the album. No idea when it's going to be, but Play have it down as a June release? If so, I guess it means Starry Eyed, then another single May/June!
December 23, 200915 yr Oh dear, she's going to do another Little Boots if she doesn't release within a month or two :/
