Kopečekfestivalen! XXII

__/\__

With reservations now open and the contest in Pangolin, Lorikeet finally underway, the ISCBK have unveiled their five potential representatives for Kopečka's 22nd entry.

__/\__

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment

__/\__

__/\__

Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me?

__/\__

Adam Lambert, runner-up in this year's American Idol, is in contention with two tracks: the electro-pop-rock stomper For Your Entertainment, and the P!nk-penned Whataya Want From Me?

__/\__

Linda Sundblad - 2 All My Girls

__/\__

The only female in contention for representation, Linda's 2 All My Girls is a Robyn-esque 80s-inspired stormer of a track!

__/\__

Mohamed Ali - Satellite

__/\__

Mohamed finished third in this year's Danish X Factor, and Satellite has been reviewed as being 'the true sequel to Breathing Your Love'.

__/\__

Simon Curtis - Delusional

__/\__

Upcoming American artist Simon Curtis has been labeled 'the pop messiah', and Delusional is a Timbaland-inspired jam which channels Justin Timberlake whilst updating on the sound of Give It To Me.

So, those are the five tracks in contention for selection for Kopečka! Please rate each one out of ten and I will review your prospective tracks in return ^_^

Adam Lambert - For your entertainment - 7/10 (Nice catchy song but I get the feeling it could get lost in similar sounding songs...)

Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me? - 7.5/10 (I like this one a bit more)

Linda Sundblad - 2 all my girls - 7.5/10 (I heard this one once before :P, it's very catchy but I'd have to have a few more listens to decide whether it could be something I really like....that's the case with all of these. They're more or less first just impressions)

Mohamed Ali - Satiellite - 7/10 (Another catchy song but I think like the first one it could get lost in similar songs...although less likely to I think)

Simon Curtis - 6/10 (Pleasant enough song but it doesn't really do much for me beyond that, he has a very good voice)

By the way, you should probably completely forget anything I've said now because I probably don't have a clue :P

I only have one song, and I'm sending it anyway regardless of what's said but you might aswell have a look anyway :)

SPECTACULAR intro, fabulous verses and a wonderfully twisted chorus  It reminds me a little of The Girl and the Robot in the chorus actually! :o Very, very good, I fully expect it to dark horse it

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment has been withdrawn from contention by the ISCBK after consideration, leaving four tracks remaining:

Remi-nd Us To Do Better In 22!!!

It has been announced that Brokeback Montain are going to step it up a gear in the upcoming 22nd BuzzJack Song Contest in Pangolin, Lorikeet. Remi Nicole represented the country in Numayania with her almost-hit Go Mr. Sunshine in the 21st Contest. It finished 28th out of 29. Pretty much the bog standard for Brokeback Mountain, but a laughable achievement when Mayor Juranamo said the country was stepping up a gear. Ms. Nicole also managed to qualify for the BuzzJack Song Contest Best Of XI - XX Rejects in Torchwood with her single, Rock 'N' Roll. This track failed to qualify for the final in the 14th contest hosted by Herzebania, despite the belief by many that it would be the countries forst Top 20 placing since debuting in the 7th contest. It did however, manage to qualify for the Rejects contest for this era after gaining enough Tie-Break points. Once again, Remi was glue to the bottom of the listings, finishing 25th out of 25 competitors, 12 points away from 24th place.

This time round, Mayor Juranamo has, previous reps for our country, Ash and Feeder lined up. As well as Paramore, who finifhed 11th in the Rejects competition with Ignorance, Vanessa Carlton and Mika lined up.

Please continue to rate the songs out of 10 in the Kopečekfestivalen thread or in the Green Room!

I'll answer in your national thread :kink:

By the way, I would never dare send this, but this would be a good entry for someone:

I have become a Nat Bass loon so naturally i had to have the single imported. Should have done it sooner, but i wasn't sure where i could get it from

Sanity.com.au ftw.

Sanity is what I use too, it's brilliant, but incredibly slow...takes about 2 weeks for stuff to come

In all fairness, it is on the other side of the world

The Royal Mail are far slower at getting stuff to Australia than Australia post are at getting stuff here.

Royal Mail are just useless altogether...I pay extra for first class/next day and it still takes a few days to come :drama:

very true.

and all these bloody strikes.

My friend in the states was getting very pissed off after royal mail lost her first set of transcripts and then went on strike and nearly made her miss an important deadline with the second set

it's ridiculous, if they don't want to work under the current conditions - leave!

there are plenty of unemployed people who will gladly take their position and deliver the mail on time!

  • Author

exactly. it's a disgrace.

All i want is my cd's and dvd's within three years of ordering

It took a month for my Delta DVD to arrive.

what did you think of that DVD, in particular her Predictable/Sweet Dreams mashup? :o
