Lucy providing a SHOAT HIGHLIGHT? What has the world come to? I fully approve however. I plan to devote my entire life to Melissa Suffield. She'd be my topic on Mastermind.

Oh Jark you just ruined it and went too far there :(

The writers gave Melissa Suffield a good line. Melissa Suffield herself remains a weak (albeit improving) actress.

Lucy in a few years time will definitly be cindy part 2 so god help whoever she marries, i think id like a different actress to play her though, im not sure what i think of the current lucy;s acting, although looks wise she fits the bill as cindy's daughter.

indeed its a brilliant piece of casting, she could easily pass as cindys daughter.

i dont like her though... dunno how much of it is her real persona and how much is character acting.

yes look wise it coudlnt have being cast any better its just the way she delivers her scenes i just dont like at all.

Well, that was quite some episode - I'll be recovering in Feburary :drama: I expected the ending to be something to do with Syed kissing Christian - not that.

Tamwar needs to be the next Walford legend though, blatently!

will this girl who was with him be a permanent fixture or just a fleeting extra? hopefully the former!

Tamwar=legend obvz

Those were two great episodes though mind :) I've never been too sure what I wanted Christian to end up with but tonight I really did not want him to ruin that wedding! I wonder how long it will be until Amira finds out though. I hope they keep Amira on after the storyline ends aswell, a great character.

Glad Shabnam got a mention once or twice this week aswell. Just a shame she wanst there.

Libby knows! Suprised she managed to hold it in until the end though...and Minty's hiding Sam! Too much relatively exiting stuff in one episode tbh.

Poor Christian, I hope they get together eventually, but then I will feel sorry for Amira aswel (she looked so stunning tonight) she always does like. two great episodes

Great 2 episodes. I'm glad Libby found out about George, all the lies that keep on popping up on the show, was just getting a bit OTT.

And Tamwar is the next best thing, I just hope he gets more bigger roles, I just like the comedy side of the character.

I really enjoyed Tamwar tonight sooo funny. That girl who was with him is so beautiful. I really can't help saying it. More of her too please :kink:

I really didnt know what to expect tonight, but im glad for amira it wasnt ruined, i really like amira and i def hope she has future storylines beyond this syed stuff. Tonight seemed to concentrate and emotions and feelings rather than impact which was great.
I think having Syed bi sexual rather than gay would have made more sense.

...only theres no such thing as 'bi', just in denial <_<

i just didnt like the show.... dunno why...

What the fuck? I can confirm that you are speaking utter shit.

Very... constructive.

What a pair of episodes. It was just jam picked with brilliance! I'm so glad they got married and that his secret is partly out. Do you know though, I've got a feeling that when Amira finally finds out, from whoever, she'll say that she already knows. She's not stupid and the amount of time that Christina and Syed spend together/looking at each other must have made her suspect something by now. I think she just really wanted the dream wedding and his love and thinks that maybe he loves both her and Christian. I don't know... anyway it was wonderful. Amira's a really great addition to the show and of course Zainab and Mas were on absolute top form.

Jark when i read you post it made me think that, that outcome could actually happen, Amira's reaction is definitly gonna be interesting to see what ever her reaction is. It is great that most of us here in the forum agree that Amira is a great addition to the show, and i hope eastenders put her forward for the best new comer awards.
Eastenders' second episode last night averaged out with 11.6 million which is not only a higher figure than the Christmas day episode but also bigger than any episode of any soap shown in 2009. They've got to be ecstatic with that!
i am delighted with those ratings, eastenders has done very well the whole way through christmas, it has been the most watched show through out the whole period.
Kirstie Allsopp has criticised EastEnders bosses for airing an anti-gay tirade prior to the watershed.

The presenter was referring to Zainab Masood's confrontation with homosexual Christian Clarke in Friday's episode of the BBC One soap. During the argument, Zainab - whose son Syed is having a gay affair with Christian - said: "Take your perverted obsession elsewhere. What you do makes me feel sick."

Allsopp, who helms Channel 4's Location, Location, Location, said that the script was "totally unsuitable for 6.30pm".

The 36-year-old wrote on Twitter: "I don't want kids watching that kind of rant - in time they'll know about bigots but please not yet."

This morning, however, the BBC defended the comments in the episode.

A spokesperson told DS: "Since this storyline began, EastEnders has always shown a balance of opinions to ensure that we capture the many different views of the characters involved. Zainab has always been an extremely opinionated character but her views do not go unchallenged and it is within these conflicts that the drama unfolds."

They added: "We have taken great care in portraying this sensitive storyline and we always ensure that our episodes are suitable for the timeslot in which they are shown"
