Let's hope Kirkwood does not axe a lot of the cast, well he could get rid of Dotty, I really hate her.

I think she's leaving this week. ;) :P

I can see him axing at least 3 charactors as executive producers in most cases wirld the axe when they take over to mak etheir mark.

A brilliant episode tbh. Very very tragic. Zainab provided some light relief though

Cant believe it took them so long to contact Bradley's mum though!

Character axing wise: I can see him letting some deadwood go. Adam, Minty, Patrick etc. With Manda, Gary, Yolande etc gone they arent serving much of a purpose.

I do hope Rachel turns up for the funeral. I absolutely love her. She'd be a great full-time character.
Adam certainly I can see being a goner; I also wouldn't be surprised to see Darren off aswell. I also think they could do with cutting back on a few teens - it's madness that they're bringing in 4 new teens, when we've already got Peter, Lucy, Darren, Tamwar, Libby, Adam, Whitney, Billie and Lauren - we're in danger of turning the show into Grange Hill!

I still think looking back at those videos Stacey doesn't look guilty at ALL. I put it down to Lacey not knowing either.

Also, I didn't spot all of those mistakes! Jack's lines I noticed, and I wondered what Peggy had called Janine, but that's about it. Did no one notice that Roxy started two consecutive scenes with the exact same line? "I don't believe it, I don't believe either of you," even though in the first scene it made absolutely no sense?

Enjoyed the Live episode, i think the cast did well in what must have been a very hectic situation.

The whole team pulled it off i think.

strange.... i thought it was pretty average, and often quite dull. but with death storylines in corrie (who i thought was better last night then eastenders) the general mood was one of misery... good old emmerdale was easily I M H O the best on tv last night and laurels return was emotionally the winner.
Jake Wood just revealed there is a 2-hander episode featuring himself and Lacey. Filming soon and go out quite fast after he said. Can't wait!

Well this new guy was on Hollyoaks right? He already has a perfect pot of teens and he's bringing in more already. Then again the current batch aren't exactly the shallow, eye candy Hollyoaks has so he may well yield the axe on a few of them.

Sorry if I sound bitter. I have just got back into EE again after about a 7 year gap because it got so horrendous and the storylines as of late have been fantastic. I'm very wary about this new dude...

The only thing I think may keep Darren in the show is his connections to both Libby & Heather.

The 4 new teens may prove difficult in fitting in as characters in the main show tbh, other than perhaps Zsa-Zsa who is a rather brilliant addition. Its only three atm isnt it? I dont Mercy's arrived full time yet.

Zsa-Zsa is AWFUL! Honestly. What's with all the fuss with her?!

I dont mind her but she's nothing special. I struggle to see past the fact she is a giant tbh. :kink:

Admittetly part of the original charm has now gone but I certainyl think she has more potential than Leon (as pretty as he is) & Fatboy, who both currently seem a bit one-dimensional.

I know her sister, and she got me her autograph!

Anyway, speaking of axings, I hope Jordan/Lucas go, but I doubt it'll happen. :(

 Get up out my face boi.

Zsa Zsa is crap, she just happens to be the least crap of the new lot.

In retrospect wasn't Danny a completely pointless addition to the show? No doubt he'll be back but I don't understand why he was brought in when nobody cared enough to stop him leaving.

'EastEnders' pens Max, Stacey two-hander

EastEnders bosses are to film a two-hander episode between Max Branning and his daughter-in-law Stacey in the wake of her recent murder confession.

At the end of last night's episode, Stacey - played by 21-year-old Lacey Turner - bid an emotional farewell to her husband Bradley in the mortuary following his untimely death during Friday's live ep, before she ran away in tears down the street.

However, in an episode to be filmed in the next few weeks, Max - portrayed by Jake Wood - finally comes face to face with Stacey for the first time following her killer confession to discuss the ramifications of her actions.

Speaking on This Morning today, Wood said: "[There are] specifically big things [coming up] between Max and Stacey. I know that there's a two-hander episode between those two characters, which is going to be filmed very shortly and will go out very quickly."

He added: "I'm very excited about that. I love working with Lacey - she's an incredible actress. I think it'll be very interesting. The stuff between them will relate to this [the murder], I guess. I haven't read it yet."

A Walford source this afternoon told DS: "When and where Stacey next appears remains to be seen, but it'll be half an hour of revelations between Max and Stacey as we finally slot some of the the missing pieces into the 'Who Killed Archie?' jigsaw."

They teased: "But will Max stand by Stacey and keep her confession a secret? Or will Stacey live to regret her heat-of-the-moment revelation?"

The episode, penned by EastEnders lead writer and series consultant Simon Ashdown, is apparently due to air within the next month or so.
