Te Aviso, Te Anuncio - 9.5/10 The first English album from the Colombian superstar Shakira, and by far her finest to date musically in my opinion. Also helping to push the boundaries of pop music in 2002, along with Pink and Christina, Shakira had a quirky style of her own. Mixing world sounds with pop worked extremely well and the handful of Spanish tracks on her were just as good as the album tracks, particularly the emphatic Te Dejo Madrid. Of the English tracks, there was the extremely odd Poem To A Horse, the middle eastern sounding Eyes Like Yours, the song that sounds like it was written for Ruth Lorenzo - The One - the disco anthem Ready For The Good Times and of course the three brilliant UK singles - Whenever, Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes and Objection (Tango). Very very high quality from start to finish.

Confidence For Quiet - 9.5/10 11. Baby Be Brave - 10/10 12. Silver Strand - 9.5/10 Four years after the critically laughed at In Blue, which saw The Corrs go Europop, Borrowed Heaven was a return to the Irish family band's roots, to stunning effect. It still had the radio hits in Summer Sunshine and Angel whilst Goodbye, like Angel focused on the siblings recent death of their mother. The poppy moments were still there in Humdrum whilst Baby Be Brave was the excellent dramatic moment of the album. Talk On Corners style traditional pop songs Even If and Confidence For Quiet were like So Young's younger siblings whilst they still found time for a gorgeous instrumental, Silver Strand and the African sounding title tracks. Such a diverse mix on here and a stunning comeback, although admittedly I wasn't fond of the Bono duet.

Capri - 8.5/10 Summer 2007 I was browsing MySpace and one profile really caught my attention - that of then fairly unknown Californian singer Colbie Caillat. I heard the demo of The Little Things and on that alone I ordered her album on import from Amazon. It came a few days later and I expected it to be quite nice but I really was quite mesmerised with it. The first ten tracks were musical joy, from the summer hit that never was, Bubbly, the gorgeous Realize, the new version of the demo I fell in love with - The Little Things, the happy acoustic songs Oxygen and Tailor Made and the gorgeous piano ballad Battle. It really had everything I want from a debut album and I quickly fell in love with Jennifer Aniston lookalike Colbie. I was obsessed with this album for well over a year.

Hear Me - 8.5/10 12. Beautiful Disaster (Live) - 10/10 13. Miss Independent - 9/10 14. Low - 8.5/10 Into the top three!!! I was never a huge Kelly Clarkson fan until I heard Since U Been Gone upon its leak in early 2004. I was blown away and rather shocked that I loved it so much. I eventually got Breakaway on the day of release in the UK, deciding that it was a fluke and not to import the album. I was so pleased with the purchase because I absolutely adore the whole album, and was so pleased when it grew and grew to become a 1.5 million seller in the UK. I still maintain that no album opens as strongly as Breakaway - which storms in with four incredible tracks, all of which deservedly became singles. The rest of the album was consistently strong too, nothing more stunning than the gorgeous live version of Beautiful Disaster. I saw Kelly live in 2006 whilst she was still promoting the Breakaway era and it ranks as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Just amazing in every way. I saw her again in 2008 but the material was weaker, I was much further back in the crowd and it wasn't as good. I don't see how she can ever better this perfect collection. Easily the best product to ever come from American Idol. Is it odd that two American Idol winners and no UK reality TV show winners have albums in my top ten of the decade?

You Are My Rock - 9/10 My most anticipated album of all time, it most certainly didn't disappoint. I was expecting a dark pop album considering what had happened in Delta's life in the 18 months that she had been writing and producing this album, and it was certainly dark - Electric Storm, Mistaken Identity, Disorientated, Extraordinary Day were about as dark as you will here in a commercial pop album. However, the traditional light Delta pop was still there in A Little Too Late and Sanctuary, beautiful ballads remained in Out Of The Blue, Fragile and Be Strong and even the Brian McFadden duet Almost Here was brilliant. Only the odd Miscommunication wasn't as good as the rest, but all in all it not only lived up to but completely exceeded my expectations.

Will You Fall For Me - 10/10 Far and away my favourite album of the decade and of all time, how ironic that it would come in the worst year of the decade, 2003. Or maybe it was apt - I literally felt that music was no good anymore, I started to doubt if my love for music was waning because all I heard for the first half of the year was rubbish and a sea of mediocrity. The only really great song for me in the first six months of the year was Born To Try by Delta. So I got my first job, my first pay cheque and rewarded myself by buying this album hoping that it would be as good as the first single. Never have I fallen so instantly in love with an album - it single handedly brought back my love of music - 11 tracks, to me, were absolute perfection - two of those that weren't were damn near it, and even Running Away was a decent song, if not as truly excellent as the rest of the album. I won't go into any more detail because I'd be here all day - but each one of these tracks bar Running Away holds a special memory of some sort for me - 13 of the 14 tracks either instantly or eventually went top 5 in my personal chart (a record that I can't see will ever be equalled or beaten) including 4 #1 singles and 3 #2's. It went on to become a hugely unprecedented near million seller in the UK and is the biggest album of the decade in her native Australia spending around 30 weeks at #1!!!!!! And no album is more deserving of it - it turned my life around in so many ways. Perfect.

I had heard 4ever in 2005 but only got round to importing the album in January 2006 - this album perfectly reminds me of the first year of uni. 4ever, When It All Falls Apart and Secret are pop/rock ANTHEMS whilst Speechless was absolutely gorgeous. A really nice mix and I much prefer this sound the the electro of their second album. i bought this in their native Brisbane in March/April 3.
