I can't believe JLS have overtaken Robbie, Reality.. is a really good album and I'd much rather see him at number one.

so tight at 1+2 on both single and albums.

tense week indeed :lol:.

Sure is. I can't remember the last time it was so unpredictable on both ends. :o

The Radio 1 Switch Live gig last Sunday has given a boost to the charts this week. Several of the acts have released to coincide with it, and got heavy promotion as a result. I think Robbie and the Sugababes management overlooked that factor when picking a week to release. Both would benefit from a chart placing the tabloids can't knock, but with very solid sales all around, the people who matter won't care.

I'd still like to see Robbie #1 and the Babes top 5. :dance:

Very true.

About 340,000.

I agree that if MMH had been released this week, Leona would be getting crushed.

I don't think so, MMH was available last week and it was hovering around #5 I think.

The only reason its doing well is because of X factor, its flopping in the US.

Happy is just an old song, its been out for 9 weeks already, nobody cares anymore.

Strange how it's #1 in Germany and Austria though.

Meet Me Halfway is old too, it's out since May.

So why didn't it sell this much last week?

My local radio station this morning reported that Robbie Williams will have the number 1 album on sunday and is streets ahead of JLS. Pity, they didnt check out their facts right. I reckon JLS will stay ahead and be no1 on sunday and BEP's could also take the top slot from Leona as they appear to have closed the gap quite a bit since yesterday.
it's a shame, except this week, that singles sell more than albums. . . :-(

To take a brief moment out of the whole BEP/Leona crap, does anybody know if Hockey "Song Away" has made ANY impact whatsoever? :( (i know that their album got to #33). I expected the song to be one of those random indie songs that spends a bunch of time in the top 10/20, but I haven't heard anybody else talk about it/them -_-

That Hockey song is always being played on cool fm my current local radio station and appears in top7 @ 7 sometimes. Its quite ok but I think its bombed.
Does anyone know who the last act to have 3 number ones from the same album was in the uk? Was it westlife?

You mean on iTunes? Because on the official German and Austrian charts is not (yet) charting.

Peaked at number 49 in September

Chart Run: 49-62-52-71 [4 wks]

Well the papers are full of the Robbie/Take That 'reunion' on stage last night - Hopefully that generate Robbie a few extra sales to overtake JLS :yahoo:
Oh my gosh. We live in a world when JLS beating Robbie Williams. :kink: This is will end his string of UK #1 albums even that horrible Rudebox went to #1. :puke: I think this week is a weird one because the singles and album just passing each other. Just very inconsistent. I hope same thing happens between Leona Lewis on Friday. *FINGERS CROSSED* :drama:

His string of #1 albums was broken in 2003 when 'Live At Knebworth' peaked at #2.

I'm not sure whether Leona Lewis would count. 'A Moment Like This', 'Bleeding Love' & 'Run'? Though considering one was her winning song and the one was added to a re-release...

McFly would be it then in 2006 with three horrendous selling/performing chart toppers :heehee:

29/07/2006 McFly Don't Stop Me Now/Please Please {1}-6-12-24-40-56-66->7

04/11/2006 McFly Star Girl {1}-9-19-27-42-62->6

19/05/2007 McFly Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania {1}-20-39-59->4
