If we get midweek sales tomorrow we will see if Meet Me Halfway has a chance to be #1. If BEP close the gap for at least 1k they will be almost certainly #1 on Sunday. If the gap is the same (+/- 1k), the chances are equal for Leona and them. And if Leona's lead is increasing, so she'll be almost definitely be #1 on Sunday.

I think the midweeks sales will show Leona increasing tomorrow. Around 500 copies, but that won't be enough come Sunday. It appears that we'll have 3 days ahead for Leona, 4 days ahead for BEP. Gonna be fun!

I really hope Black Eyed Peas don't get #01 with it tbh, it really is kind of average. :( They're verging on overrated now.

Ha, I suppose. I'd rather see Leona get a lead #01 single, it's not as good as Bleeding Love, Run or even Better In Time but I still like it alot.

 

Another thing that annoys me with BEP is their lyrics are pretty awful, for example;

Is just rather embarrasing. I mean I still think their songs are pretty catchy and stuff but I don't think they quite deserve the overwhelming success they're getting.

^^ thats the thing with BEP though and what makes them so cool, they make words like that sound cool because of the beat behind it. Its sweet and cool at the same time.

 

Without the beat, completely embarrasing, but for me and a lot of other people, it just works. Will.i.am is an amazing lyricist in particular. He's simple, straight to the point, yet effective and heartfelt.

I think Meet Me Halfway deserves Boom Boom Pow's success as that was terribly overrated and god awful imo.

I must admit, BBP is not a patch on MMH.

I 100% agree. I feel guilty liking BBP whilst it was in it's hay day earlier this year because it was really crap. These 2 are far better :D

Better than Happy thats for sure. She has better songs on the album.
