Mika and James Morrison flopping badly.

 

I love Paulo's song, I hope it makes the top ten.

 

James Morrison has been very fortunate with the radio support he has received for his previous releases from this album. He's just finding like many others without the support of radio 1 & Capital it's virtually impossible to have a high charting single.

 

Thought Mika would have faired better with this single & I don't get Paulo at all. I taped the CIN concert & the whole family were unanimous about pressing the fast forward button.

I actually don't think that is the case in this instance. I really like James Morrison, but I don't think this single is very good and that's why its not doing very well. I do though really love all the accoustic performances on the DeLuxe album he's released this week and once people start to hear them the album will pick up again. In fact it already is.

i love how without any big releseas this week the black eyed peas could have returned to number one with yet another song. that's gotta have been a record for a band to do that 3 times in a row or is it already a record with just 2?

So james, Boots & Muse are all heading for big flops as well as Mika & Taylor next week. Shame really as there pretty decent apart from Muse who i don't care flop with that one but the others are good and don't deserve to flop when you got all the RNB and X Factor clogging up the chart :(

Something that I found amusing is that the current world singles chart #1 is 'My Girl' by Arashi.

 

It outsold Meet Me Halfway by 31.1% worldwide based on JAPANESE SALES ONLY. Also, IGF is still #3. Global sales must be pretty down atm...

I wish it would start plummeting now so we could beat the record fall from #1 (1-20 by both McFly [bCB/T] and on of the '05 Elvis re-releases) but it won't. I predict a fall to 4-6 next week.

I hope so, rather than people just deciding they don't want the song! Not sure if I would have preferred Pixie to do CMO on CIN because that dance routine was amazing! However, I am so annoyed that it isn't climbing! I really hope it can get into the Top 10!

 

What is the real main cause of the weekend effect? It just seems like a whole mess of factors to me.
