Some members asked us already to move the Irish chart thread and the Irish iTunes thread to the International Charts Forum, because it's really confusing in the UK Chart Chat and difficult to find.

What do you BJ people think, would it be better if the Irish related threads will be moved and from now on started in the International Charts Forum?

I think it's fine in the UKCC. The Irish market is so similar to the UK market that it hardly matters.
I think its fine in UK Chart Chat, Ireland is part of the Great Britain... right

Good one

Shaky Fan has done a stellar job posting the Irish charts, with commentaries, for years. I think more effort should be made by the mods to stop Irishguy123 from disrupting the thread. There really is no need for one sentence spoilers.
I think it's better in the UK subforum - it's a mini-Great Britain in terms of chart-runs, so it suits!
I think it should be left where it is Ben. Also agree the spoilers should be stopped as its not fair to Shaky Fan

I am one that believes any Irish chart info, Itunes or otherwise, should be in the International forum. When the international forum was added, all French, US, OZ, Japanese..etc threads where moved over to their own (International) forum! why not Irish? I don't want to get all political/historical, but Ireland servered it's ties with the UK in 1949! we are linked by a language and geographical location, that is all. I personaly have no interest in the Irish charts, and I'm sure anyone who is interested will have no problems in going over to the International forum to view them?

I'll just finish on saying, I mean no disrespect to anyone involved in the thred and all the work they put into it, but UK it isn't.

Yes but it's not fair for Shaky Fan to be really rude to other users. Go to the Irish Chart Thread to see what i'm talking about.

I think it should stay as Ireland is part of the British isles

TBH I almost never read the Irish charts thread so I didn't know about any fights, rudeness etc in there. We will do, but it's not nice always to blame the mods about fights of some members... We are human, we can't check every single thread and every single post.

To be honest where the Irish charts are posted doesn't bother me one way or the other! I think I may even have initially posted them in the International section and someone for whatever reason put the thread in the UK section. If people want them moved back across to the International section that's fine by me. What the voters decide goes - that's what democracy is all about! :)

Seems most want them in this forum, and here thye will stay if thats what the people want!

As for the fights in the thread, I would hope Shaky fan and Irishguy can sort out who posts what between them? Shaky fan has always done a great job with the commentaries and chart runs, and it does seem unfair that someone is spoiling it.

Yet another thread for us to keep an eye on then <_>

Having NI Irish connections also, I think they should be left international, as Ireland and Northern Ireland are not in Great Britain or part of the British Isles. (Northern Ireland alone is uniquely UK, but not GB)

check your passports as it clearly says

THE UNITED KINGDOM of GREAT BRITAIN "and" NORTHERN IRELAND

British Isles referring to "Isles" are Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Lundy, Flat Holm, Steep Holm, Skye and all the Scottish ones.

so Irish Charts will always refer to Eire or aka ROI

Should stay with the UK, as both countries have the same single/album releases and their charts are similar

It looks like the Irish chart threads will stay in the UK Chart Chat. Actually either way, it's fine by me.

What we can do is to change the titles slightly, so people can find it more easily. Any suggestions to that?

Jester, I am always really eager to have the Irish charts on Buzzjack as soon as possible so people can get discussing it! When I first joined at the start of the year, I started posting the charts without realising that it was ShakyFan who always does it. When he told me this and requested that I stopped, I did so. However, last week he was incredibly rude to me, telling me to f*** off on one occasion. With this in mind, I thought, why should I have to wait for somebody to post the charts when they spoke to me like this? I just wanted to clarify the situation, as I am being portrayed as some form of troll by Shaky Fan on this forum when the reality is quite the opposite. :)

Also, I would be more than happy to wait for Shaky Fan to post the charts if he was a little bit more respectful to fellow forum users :)
