About 5 songs of them are available on the internet (Wonderful Life EP). Illuminated is my favourite tbh.

Coral won't be going as i've abandoned the idea of NF rejects going to bjsc from my country :(

Owen Pallett is the ninth act to take part in our selection.

4. S

5. Jónsi

6. Pantha Du Prince

7. The Knife

8. Amy MacDonald

9. Dans Republic

You HAVE to send Dans Republic, just discovered it, it's 20 kinds of awesome :w00t:

I'm so indecisive. I need to extend this list to 12. :drama:

Due to the national holiday tomorrow, the remaining 3 acts have just been added to the list. The final list looks like this.

1. Four Tet

2. Zola Jesus

3. Joanna Newsom

4. Owen Pallett

5. hurts

6. S

7. Jónsi

8. Caribou

9. Pantha Du Prince

10. The Knife

11. Amy MacDonald

12. Dans Republic

People in Elëdan will choose one artist to be the sixth act for the shortlist, that consists of 5 performers, is due to be announced as soon as the reservation thread is opened.

The shortlist of 5 acts will be chosen by the special jury, members of which are being kept in strongest secret, without hearing the songs, just basing on the potential of acts, in bjsc particularly.

Then 6 remaining acts will be competing against each others singing a song in front of the jury. Each day one act will be leaving but it will be kept as a secret as well, aside from the first 'evictee'.

Also, the chosen by public act to complete the shortlist will not be removed from there unless they were/are breaking the rules etc., but the jury is able to replace the 5remaining acts how ever they want if they feel so, of course stating the reason for that. So, basically, there might be some changes during the whole thing.

Yay.

So the jury has decided on the 5 acts from the above to make the list.

The leftovers are...

in order from 12th place to 7th...

12 Amy MacDonald

11 S

10 Zola Jesus

09 Joanna Newsom

08 Four Tet

07 The Knife

....and...

06 hurts

The jury top 5 which will be competing in the final is (in no particular order)

1. Caribou

2. Pantha Du Prince

3. Dans Republic

4. Jónsi

5. Owen Pallett

Only 3.5 hours are left until the national voting close. The artist from the bottom 7 (listed under) which will receive the most votes will complete the final 6. Votes for the 5 artists below are now nulled and money spent for voting for them will be returned within an hour. Sorry for that inconvenience, the jury results weren't supposed to be known for the next 4 hours!

Amy MacDonald

S

Zola Jesus

Joanna Newsom

Four Tet

The Knife

hurts

Speculations, comments etc are appreciated

Personally I would LOVE a Jónsi track again!

The results of the public voting

29,0% The Knife

20.98% hurts

17.84% S

12.01% Zola Jesus

10.77% Four Tet

5.03% Amy MacDonald

4.37% Joanna Newsom

That means The Knife have now been added to the Final 6 which now looks like (in the order of today's first performance in front of the jury)

1. Jónsi

2. Caribou

3. Dans Republic

4. Pantha Du Prince

5. The Knife

6. Owen Pallett

The first round has finished. After today's closed-door show the jury has decided on one act to be eliminated from further participation.

1. Jónsi

2. Caribou

3. Dans Republic

4. Pantha Du Prince

5. The Knife

6. Owen Pallett

Pantha Du Prince has finished 4th in the longlist jury voting that took place two days ago.

So the other five will be battling for the next 4 days until one act will remain.

The running order for tomorrow's show:

1. Owen Pallett

2. Caribou

3. Jónsi

4. Dans Republic

5. The Knife

Breaking news.

Owen Pallett leaves the competition due to some reason unknown yet. The act that will replace him will be ... Zola Jesus.

So tomorrow's line-up looks like this

1. Zola Jesus

2. Caribou

3. Jónsi

4. Dans Republic

5. The Knife

Now i'm only considering Caribou, The Knife and Zola Jesus.

So The Knife DNQ'd. :( But oh well it was so worth it!

Completely different genre for XXVI there will be. YAY.

I really admire your knew directions Pav. The BJSC is all about discovering new music and you're certainly contributing to thst atm. Don't get me wrong, I thought Birds was horrid but I love that you sent it!

well it was my 0/10 and it's horrendous noise, but I agree with Tom - I completely respect you for going against the norm, hopefully next month I'll love your 'different' track
