Actually Issues went to #6 in release week and then climbed to #4. It only entered the Top 40 2 weeks before the physical release.

fio peaked at #2, personally i dont think ego will chart as high dispite the trickery by releasing it in a 'slack' week where itll have the best chance of charting high.

 

if this is the 'best' track on the album, god help them... imho 'up' is still the best pop track theyve released and ego is no 'up'.

I think Ego and Up are pretty even stevens although they are hardly similar in sound and length etc. Judging chartswise so far, Ego could have a Issues-like rise and longevity. I don't see it staying around as long as Up did really but who knows. FIO deserved Up-like longevity it's my fave Sats song but at least its their joint highest charting single so far :D

Couldn't agree with you more! :D But I highly doubt it, had it been the first single it might have had a shot at no.1 seeing it seems to be more popular than FIO

I think it'll probably go top 10.

Really hopes this does well for them! don't think it will be no. 1 but they are releasing on quite a quiet week so who knows? :D

 

Also, Cremey, i know what you mean about wanting it to flop, i kinda felt the same, but you have to put it into perspective and keep the artists themselves seperate from the loons. I still really like ego and hope it does well for them, wordshaker is a brilliant album and deserves some success.

I'm sure Ego will be able to boost the album back into the top 40 for a few weeks ..the album did deserve so much more. :cry:

I thought the album would have done better as it is the only new album from a girl group out at the moment, but they haven't been around as long so mabye that's part of it, and there has been quite a lot of competition this past few months with Cheryl Cole, Alexandra Burke, JLS, Susan Boyle, Robbie Williams, etc! I hope there is a third album! :D

When i heard things like best song on their album i had to hear it and i have to say i wasn't impressed i will not be buying the album now as their new singles havn't impressed me much. Their last albums singles were brilliant especially 'UP' which convinced me to buy the album.
