Dont butcher me alive for this now but I really dislike this as a song. Its truely dull and complety lifeless and has the power to put you to sleep. To the positive, the video is quite good. Perhaps not fully worthy of the mass bumming it will recieve but yeah okish in a nice artistic way, a rather toned down version of a Lady GaGa video if you like.

In a nutshell - this.

I was actually thinking this when I first saw it too.

Oh and this song is amazing! Especially in a club. Seriously, the bass and the production is immense. I love the dark and edginess of it aswell as the subtlety of it all.

I'm sorry... but any way you can sell this song, it'll remain an attrocious vile pile of $h!t  Just because you've spraypainted your toilet gold doesn't mean the $h!t'll become any more attractive.

^ that is your opinion.

I think this is one of the best Girls Aloud records (period)....definitely better than Fight For this Love...and the video is amazing.

3 Words is one of the best tracks this year in my opinion. Nothing on her album comes too close.

Just once I was becoming really annoyed with 'Fight For This Love', Cheryl releases this amazing video for '3 Words'.

I didn't really like the song first, but the video has changed the whole perspective of the song for me for the better.

Never expected Cheryl to have a dark themed video, but yet she continues to surprise me!

I don't want to be nasty, unfortunately I have to, but... you people are so far up Cheryl's arse you'll believe in everything she sells. It's like the Black Eyed Peas hype, they can sing the alphabet in a childish tune and it'd still get number one. There's no catch to this at all, I am assured that once Cheryl is just some old bag that was once fancied, everyone will listen back to this and think "WTF!!!" :teresa:

That's where you're wrong.

I'm not up Cheryl's arse, infact I'm not even a big GA fan and I think this song and Cheryl's album are both fantastic.

I don't mean to be nasty but.. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

Just because you don't like the song doesn't mean that the song is crap. The song doesn't need a hook. I was far from a Cheryl Cole fan before I heard this song and I've never been too much of a Girls Aloud fan. I'm not much of a Black Eyed Peas fan hence my hatred of I Gotta Feeling.

And I will listen back and think WTF!!!... I totally forgot how brilliant this song is and how well the video suits the song.

Saaame.

I've only ever liked one GA song ('Sexy! No No No'), but I love Cheryl's album.

I think Dick Cummings completely misses the point...a song doesn't NEED to have a hook to be good. Lots of songs don't have hooks, it doesn't make them bad, just uncommercial. Cheryl could've easily released a solo album along the lines of Girls Aloud's material and it would've sold bucketloads.

Instead, she's gone for something completely different. A more subtle approach, which I for one think is fantastic.

If anyone is critical of Cheryl, it's me. My least favourite from GA, I have always felt she was the worst vocalist of the group, only a sub-par dancer and not so great at choreography.

When I heard she was going solo, I figured it was going to be some generic R&B sh!t, a la Ciara/Ashanti.

But she has put out 2 extremely well-produced singles and accompanying videos, FFTL and 3W, with 3W being possibly the perfect song for her vocal range.

I give credit where it's due and in my opinion, 3W is great.

As well, *Dick Cummings* totally has to be a pornstar name

#21 on Itunes! :cheer:

And that's with relative little airplay, the video is doing wonders! Now it just needs to get A-listed on Radio 1!

#20 on Itunes! :cheer: And 19 days to go until the physical release! Yay!

The video isnt bad, but i still can not get into this song, its just so long and boring, the back beat is good, but that part where it stops makes the song seem to drag on forever, if the backbeat was there the entire time and the song was shorter and finished with the chorus it'd prolly be better. Im sure this song will still be a hit cuz its Cheryl, but i just dont care for this at all, and i love GA and all their songs. I can't see this going anywhere if this is her debut in the US.
