Joe was one of my favourites at first, but idk..his voice has begun to irritate me. I'm not denying that he's a fantastic singer, but I doubt I could sit through an entire album of his. Also, what would be his niche market? It's all well and good having versatility, but what about if he wins and then ends up in the real music business? I think out of the remaining acts he's the only one who hasn't really found one, or didn't have one before the competition started.

I agree with this to an extent, in that I currently have no idea what Joe McElderry the recording artists would sound like. But I would also say this is true of Stacey and Danyl aswell. What market are they being aimed at?

 

I blame the themed weeks to be honest. It's all fun and well and good getting them all to sing Big Band week and Rock week and all, but I don't think there's any sense of where the finalists would actually sit post-X Factor.

 

I would like to see themes scrapped for the next two weeks, or if they really must, have a 2009 themed week.

Yeah, I don't think Danyl would do that song since Miss Frank already did it on the live shows this year. I could see him singing the song Jonjo suggested for Stacey. She'd be better at it, but it might bring Diana comparisons and Simon might pick it after it's success this year.
