Dev will be doing it next 2 weeks, and Nihal is presenting a chart of the decade.

Edited by Chartbusters

Apparently Dev is doing the next two weeks, and Nihal the end-of-year chart.

What is this Chart Of The Decade that Nihal is doing?

It hardly makes much difference who hosts the top 40, because whoever does it...will miss half of the songs out. I can not understand why over recent weeks, it seems that by 5pm, they are already in the top 20! Surely if they have 3 hours, it`s far to much time, in which case the programme should return to just 2 hours...because it seems endless chat and nonsense text reading has made it worse than ever. Don`t you just get sick of Reggie`s sickly voice?! In 3 hours they could be playing the full top 50. The programme is a disgrace. Mills is almost as much a tit as Reggie anyway.

So we have 3 normal charts then the xmas chart then a normal one then the end of year chart then the decade chart?

I'm confused how many charts this year count towards 2009 sales?

Is it 5 or 6?

Sara Cox at 4pm  Kick Fearnne or Greg out and give this woman a permanent weekday slot Radio 1.

Scott Mills on the chart and Moyles' show is just heaven. His is the only show I can't miss. Sara Cox in for him is also amazing. And dare I say it, I've warmed to Fearne on her own so I'll probs enjoy her Christmas party.

and call me slow, but why is Reggie having so much time off?

wat will Nihal be counting down...albums singles....Top 50, 100 200?
Scott isn't my favourite, but he is a lot better than Reggie ;)
^^^ Syphillis is better than Reggie Yates' voice.

Probably singles top 40 and albums top 10-20.

Reggie was OK when he presented the top 40 on his own when Fearne was his side kick but was missing for whatever reason. For much of the time he usually just got on with the show and was prone to waffle just now and again. However since Fearne left he seems to waffle on more than the two of them managed together...

if anyone has noticed, the decade chart presented by Dev seems to be on for 4 days running, from Monday 28 to Thursday 31 at 3 hours a day, seems a bit strange. Unless he's like Reg is now and needs 12 hours to fit in a full top 40!
Great! Scott Mills is SO much better than Reggie and he acts his age
Unfortunately when he stands in he now presents the top 40 like Reg does and Fearne did, I guess he's been told to talk as much as he can and to play a record now and again...

I think Reggie's a nice guy, i just don't think he is suited to the chart show.

Maybe a little bit, but he's still miles better than Reggie. I'd like to see Greg James given a go to be honest,

him and Scott are the only current R1 DJs who i think will be good for that show

as the Radio 1 bosses now seem more open to a single presenter perhaps when Reggie's time on the show is up they'll consider one of the two. That said, I still think Reggie would probably prefer to play more music and chat / waffle a lot less but has probably been told that this is how he must present the show. The show is such a mess at the moment that surely he can't be happy with the current format of one presenter having to talk so much. As much as anything else he must know it isn't working and now that 40 to 21 is back to how it was in the early days of JK and Joel (almost rushed through) he surely can't be happy with it. It was seen as a disaster back then so I'm sure it'll revert back to more music and less chat at some point.

The thing is, having Reggie as the chart show presenter is all part of the BBC's "ticking the boxes" where everything has to be set to a demogrpahic e.g. 12-20 year olds. The thing is most of the people in that age range don't listen to it and are probably behaving like hooligans.

This is what has ruined the 00s overall. I hope 2010 sees a return to simplicity.
