Posted December 12, 200915 yr god how im SICK of the hyperbolic circus that is the x factor... i mean, the final three (ok two now) arnt even any good... these guys cant hold a torch to some of the REAL talented artists of that ilk... tom jones, engelbert humperdink, scott walker, dusty springfield... those artists (and more) are REAL talents, people who can really sing in their own unique style. this annual cowell ego massage/money making scam is long past its sell by date, i mean, who with half a brain takes any notice of this enforced bollox? only a MORON would actually vote...pmsl.. i mean... paying cowell to earn cowell money! BRILLIANT! cowell must hold the british public in high contempt, screwing them every way... see through it... grow up... its hyperbolic bollox that destroys real musical creativity. much though i hate watertwat, id have him anyday over cowell.... in comparison its like lennon to dj caspar!
December 12, 200915 yr Rage Against The X Factor. http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid=2228594104 and on top of that group having more members than people who brought the x factor single last year, all profit RATM make goes to shelter.
December 12, 200915 yr I agree until you refer it even too the final 3. They're all really good but then again X Factor has made people biased this year.
December 12, 200915 yr I'm really bored of it now :( pretty glad its gonna be over tomorrow, sick of Cheryl bumming every week on facebook status'.
December 12, 200915 yr I'm really bored of it now :( pretty glad its gonna be over tomorrow, sick of Cheryl bumming every week on facebook status'. THIS. I don't get frustrated about it like some people on here though. It's just some light entertainment, nothing to take seriously and occasionally produces some good popstars (Shayne Ward, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, JLS). This series was definetly among the worst though in my opinion. We had a fairly strong lineup to start with (Rachel, Stacey, Lucie, Miss Frank, Joe) but only one of them is left and it's been manipulated so heavily that it's sucked some of the enjoyability out of it to me, it was definetly visible that it's fixed alot too this year in my opinion.
December 12, 200915 yr I think it would be nice to have a different music talent show take the limelight, one that isn't run by Simon Cowell.....one that has the same popularity as X Factor but focuses more on finding actual talent than finding someone who can make the most money.....sometimes I think the only reason good vocalists make the final(usually) is because talent and making money can often go hand in hand (bar Paris Hilton) I can dream can't I? :(
December 13, 200915 yr Oh I stopped giving a rats arse weeks back. Only been bothering with the guest performances and the actual results. Watched tonights duets to see if anything was a disaster :P

I'd love for them to come back or just a new talent show which doesn't have Simon behind it ... but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon.
December 13, 200915 yr The funniest thing about X Factor is the people who make a big scene about how it's all a joke, the best contestant has gone out, it's all fixed, etc etc. Get over it. Like Jack said it's just a TV show and you needn't watch. As it happens Rob you do watch so unless you intend never to again then stop freaking out. It's ridiculous. It's TV.

Like Jack said it's just a TV show and you needn't watch. As it happens Rob you do watch so unless you intend never to again then stop freaking out. It's ridiculous. It's TV. I would agree with that last part (because the X-Factor IS ridiculous that's true), if it wasn't for the fact that Cowell/Sony get MILLIONS every year out of the gullible idiots who watch this farcical Meat Grinder of a show.... So, it's not just "TV", it's Capitalism at its very, very worst..... The way people are treated worse than cattle on this show, the way that they're co-erced into signing ridiculously restrictive contracts which dont favour them in the slightest.... The way that Cowell can, with a whim, make or break someone's chances or ruin their dreams just because he can... Cowell is the Dark Lord of the fukkin' Sith.... I'm pretty sure soon he's gonna be fitted for the black facemask and respirator..... Hell, you'd may as well have Darth Vadar as a judge and have done with it..... Why should this guy and his Corporate paymasters be allowed to dominate the musical and popular cultural face of this country for THREE BLOOMIN' MONTHS of each year, including Christmas...?? Fukk that.... This is Cultural Chernobyl, simple as..... Rob is absolutely, 100% spot on in his post (well, maybe not that bit where he's championing Engelbert Humperdinck  ).... You clearly just do not get the point that he's actually making..... ie, that genuine TALENT does not need a piece of manipulative scum like Cowell or Walsh and their tacky TV show to come in and pre-package or manufacture it....

I think it's down to buzzjack although they didn't do a very good job with making sure Stacey reached the final.
December 13, 200915 yr http://absolutegrace.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/grinch_santa.jpg As Jark says Rob, it is only TV and if you don't like it, don't watch it! It is a programme enjoyed by quite alot of people so if they want to enjoy watching it that is up to them. What harm is it doing you?
