Posted December 14, 200915 yr Yay, more chart questions! So yeah, last week there was a #9 hit for Chuckie with 'Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch'. Apparently, Chuckie is from Suriname. I'm just wondering if there have ever been any other artists with fairly uncommon nationalities having such a successful single in the UK? ^_^

December 14, 200915 yr Author Hmm, I've racked my brain a bit and managed to come up with only one that has not already been mentioned - Shontelle this year, she's Barbadian too. I suppose A.R. Rahman (Indian) counts too? Some pretty interesting stuff here guys :o I forgot about O-Zone lol, Dragostea Din Tei was epic. I still doubt there's anyone from a more obscure nation than Suriname that has had a UK top 10 though... nobody from Djibouti? Or Sao Tome and Principe? ;o Edited December 14, 200915 yr by BrayFish
