How many copies may sold no. 873? 20? 50? 100? So probably she's still at 7.

By my estimate, a #873 on iT will sell perhaps 250/wk - maybe 300 at this time of year.

Can we club together and form a campaign on Facebook a week later for Kirsty MacColl with "A NEW ENGLAND" :D
These campaigns are going to ruin the charts now..:(

No moreso than someone performing a song on X-Factor and getting it back into the chart...

^ I know.

It's hardly RUINING the charts. It's a dead week as it is and this is just respecting/paying tribute to a wonderful actress who has died. God forbid it gets back in the Top 40! :/

Seriously, some people on here ...

Leona's song from Avatar is available to download separately from the Irish iTunes store.

Thank you vidcapper for this information, could you wrote how many usually sold # 200 # 300 # 400 .... One more time thank you.

Just read an interesting article with Alexandra Burke which stated that she had to fight with Simon Cowell and the record company in order to get a decent video treatment for 'Broken Heels'. Apparently Simon wanted the video filmed in London with no cheoregoraphy or dancers. I think Alexandras fighting spirit in not being a puppet is going to be what sets her apart from Leona and Joe. I can't imagine either of them fighting to get good video treatment. However, this once again shows Simons appaling interest in his own acts.
The organisers of the RATM campaign really have opened a can of worms now.....
I think people are being a little harsh, I doubt there will be a campaign for songs all the time now. When any artist dies there is always a surge in their sales.
A lady just died...and some people are just interested in getting her a Top 40 charted song. Please...lets get our priorities straight.

Leona never seems to have trouble getting decent video treatments perhaps because she makes her objections and views known in private and gets on with it. Alex on the other hand likes to mouth off to the press frequently and says very little when doing it.

It may have escaped your notice Berty that all acts these days have had to scale down their videos. They're just not generating enough revenue due to the collapse in album sales to justify the record company spending loads of money on expensive treatments for each single. It's the world we now live in.

Too many campaigns. I don't think a campaign is likely to catch on next Christmas as so many will have the same idea and loyalties will be split.
