Possibly.

Some media reports claim that there's been lots of bulk buying which is 'against the rules' for official chart.

Can't believe they now force people into cheatting to win the battle :o

 

cheating? people always buy multiple copies of singles/albums to try and support artists, I don't see how this is any different, I'm sure some of Joes fans have bought more than 1 copy of 'The Climb'

I really think there is more than enough reason for OCC to either disqualify them from the charts altogether or at least take away a certain percentage of their sales. But they won't do it because of the uproar it would cause.

Didn't he give a way to download 5 versions of his song for FREE and to still make it count towards the charts?

I think Joe could well do over 100K of CDs today with the Saturday shopping, plus about 25K of downloads, and we know that he was 19K ahead by 5pm yesterday and probably further ahead by the end of the day. Therefore Rage needs to do at least about 150K of downloads today, which is an extremely tall order.

If 30,000 people from the rage facebook group take advantage of the nokia offer that's 150k. :naughty:

That has become SO bitter... I wish both Joe and RATM were excluded! :(

By the way, the Rage Facebook group have contacted the OCC about the Nokia offer, and it does count as 5 separate sales, all very legitimate - hence me saying it's 100% confirmed.

This is absolutely crazy! :lol: I just heard Killing In The Name for the first time today! It was awful. :P
