April 7, 201015 yr I guess I should be happy since it's a german club after all but I am not. :P But terrible playing by ManU in the last 10 minutes, tbh. It's the quarterfinal of the Champions League and you have 10 minutes left to score one goal. Fight, ffs. Looks like they have just given up.
April 7, 201015 yr Ultimately the decision by SAF to drop the very experienced Gary Neville for Rafael backfired badly. As have the Yanks debt which meant that SAF could not spend the £80m from the sale of C. Ronaldo on attempting to buy targets Riberry & Robben.
April 7, 201015 yr Oh Dear. Rafael sent off; and Rooney looks injured. Game On. The hypocricy of OWF and of Bruce going on about Germans crowding the ref, Utd are the worst offenders of that in the history of football, Wenger level of double standards >>>> http://www.edenet.co.uk/riblog/upload/keano.jpg

More laid back than a deckchair. To be fair though Bayern were very physical and a little over the top. But any team that leaves Robben (who I can't stand!) in more space than a Tesco Superstore, deserves to go out really :(
April 8, 201015 yr Talk about sour grapes from OWF  "typical Germans" :manson: I thought top flight football clubs had many different nationalities playing for them these days. If Sir Alex has a German in his squad, he might be having regrets over that statement. Well done to Liverpool and Fulham. :cheer: Edited April 8, 201015 yr by Flatcap
April 8, 201015 yr Looked like they gave up when they got to 3-0 tbh. More laid back than a deckchair. Nothing of the sort! Rafael getting sent off was the turning point! Rooney going off wasn't that great either. The thing that frustrates me the most is my disappointed with Michael Carrick, had a very poor game in both legs. :(
April 9, 201015 yr Author Nothing of the sort! Rafael getting sent off was the turning point! Rooney going off wasn't that great either. The thing that frustrates me the most is my disappointed with Michael Carrick, had a very poor game in both legs. :( Am I the only one who thinks Carrick is VASTLY overrated? He's a huge weak link in Man Utd imo. Very sloppy in posession, often caught out. Bet Fergie can't wait till Hargreaves is fully fit again.
April 9, 201015 yr Gutted about the Utd result but we will have showed some doubters we can score (and win!) without Rooney being at the centre of every goal. The away goal rule sucks in these competitions, all bets are off when it comes down to it cos both sides want the win so much
April 29, 201015 yr I don't care who they play, I don't think I've ever wanted anyone to win a European final more than I want Fulham to win this.
April 29, 201015 yr Fulham's achievement makes you wonder why Roy Hodgson has spent so little time managing in England. How did we let him go?
April 29, 201015 yr Fulham's achievement makes you wonder why Roy Hodgson has spent so little time managing in England. How did we let him go? Because he was rubbish at Blackburn so no one took a chance of him until Fulham came in for him. Remember they wrote him off saying he never does well in England! Fulham have never won a major trophy before but the Europa League would be a brilliant one to win. The best thing though is the legend that is Diego Forlan put Liverpool out. :P
April 29, 201015 yr That matched summed up Liverpool's season. They made very hard work of being the dominant side. Won the match, but still lost. .... As soon as Forlan scored in Extra Time I knew Liverpool were stuffed. No wonder there are rumours about Liverpool buying him. Like Michael Thomas it is not necessarily to play him, but to stop him scoring against us.
April 29, 201015 yr Author Unlucky. Really sums up Liverpool's season. Ah well, there's always next season. @D Really want Fulham to win. I've always had a huge soft spot for them. Hodgson will definitely be candidate #1 for the England job once Capello goes imo.

May 13, 201015 yr As a fulham and Rangers fan, I am going to come out and say. We deserved the win yesterday. Maybe not based on the night performance, but through the whole tournament. Atletico won 3 games through the whole tournament. we lost only 2. One against Amkar Perm and one against Juve. I honestly feel cheated out of the win, even though there was no cheap ending.
May 13, 201015 yr I could have said the same about Boro (with Schwarzer - is he a bad luck charm ) 4 years ago, although we just totally gave up in the final :( Fulham definitely deserved to win last night, as they had the passion, the belief, the drive to want to succeed. Atletico were sulky, feet way off the ground, and lethargic. They took Fulham as serious as probably a Liga Adelante side, and it nearly bit them on the behind, and I wish it did :(
May 14, 201015 yr Atletico are officially on my football hate list: 1. Celtic (I support Rangers too) 2. Chelsea 3. Barcelona 4. Atletico Madrid 5. AC Milan 6. Real Madrid 7. Zenit St. Petersburg
