Posted December 19, 200915 yr Anyone old enough to remember these from the early 70's? I know Rob is. :o Listening to a 60 min documentary on Radio 2 now, but it'll be on Listen Again. Must admit I bought some. They were nothing to do with the TV show TOTP but were cheap albums with cover versions of the latest hits. Always a scantily-clad girl on the cover. ;) Some of the covers were truly bad but the cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is considered rather good. Kenny Everett thought it was great and played both versions interspersed on the fledgling Capital Radio asking if listeners could tell the difference. :naughty: Edited December 19, 200915 yr by Victor Meldrew
December 19, 200915 yr Author Benny Hill was so angry that they'd covered Ernie that he vowed never to release a single again and he didn't.

December 26, 200915 yr I see these all the time in charity shops, my mate collects the odd few for drum breaks as he's a hip hop producer :D They have a certain kitsch value about them!
