I think I've got the main suspects there...

 

 

I think we can probably rule out Roxy and Stacey, but I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be suspects or not.

 

 

 

My money's on Peggy.

We know Babs is off, and I can see her going out to Brazil or Spain to hide out being a realistic exit for her.

I found her reaction odd - it wasn't so much that something had happened to Archie that shocked her, but that specifically he was dead. And Archie would still have been alive by the time the attacker made off.

 

My guess is that Ronnie will be cleared fairly soon-ish, and Bradley will become the next suspect - presumably his DNA will be on Archie from where his fist struck? They certainly made a big deal of focusing on the bloodied hand.

Maybe it was just a bizzare circus stunt that went tragically wrong.

Sam

 

She has "previous" for killing people by smashing them over the head with the bust of Queen Vic after having done the same to Den and she has the motive

^True. And Sam has nothing to lose really, she's already a wanted lady.

 

On the other side, Sam is a useless mare, and I doubt she'd have held it all together if she'd done it. She'd have had another breakdown.

Peggy, although every time I consider it I change my mind. Part of me thinks it might have been Phil or Jack. I definitely don't consider Roxy, Stacey, Sam or Ian suspects.

I voted "Other" as I really am unsure as to who did it! He has so many people who hate him, so it's impossible to say really. I wouldn't be surprised if Ian's son Bobby did it TBH. -_-

Peggy Mitchell - Seems possible. She obviously went back in and got the divorce papers, which were on the bar. It places her at the scene of the crime, plus she was crazy enough to do it and is leaving soon. Currently my top option, if a bit of an obvious one.

Phil Mitchell - Maybe? The fact he picked up a crowbar and the killer used the bust steers me away though. He was also a bit too drunk, not that it takes much thought to push the bust off the bar.

Ronnie Mitchell - She seemed very possible, until she became the first to be arrested. It seems unlikely that they'd catch the killer this early.

Roxy Mitchell - No. She has no strong motive, plus she always loved him deep down. I'm sure she was with Amy anyway.

Sam Mitchell - Until it was confirmed that the plot would be resolved in the live episode, I really thought she was the one who did it. Her brief return has been completely pointless otherwise and she has more than enough motive.

Apparently she gets arrested again soon, not sure if it's for this or her previous conviction.

 

Jack Branning - I know he loves Ronnie, but I'm not sure he had a big enough motive. He did have something he needed to hide and was interested to hear Archie's last words. Definitely one of my top suspicions.

Bradley Branning - Possibly? But I don't see why he'd punch him, go out, go back in, then kill him. It's not like Bradley.

Stacey Slater - No way. She's one of the few people it can't possibly be. She was at the carol service, watching Bradley come out the Vic etc. and she didn't sneak off, did she?

Janine Butcher - Doubt it. They showed her picking up something sharp, why would she then use the bust?

Ian Beale - No. I think he'll have only gone back for the laptop. Ian isn't a convincing murderer.

 

Don't see how it could be suicide at all! How did he make it fall on him?! Accident is unlikely too. I'm going for Peggy, then Jack, but I still think it should be Sam.

I went for Sam. Peggy I hadnt really considered after the reaction but now the theory that she didnt think he actually was dead when she did it. Jack and Phil surely wouldnt just shove it but would instead at least let him know who was killing him if you know what I mean...Jack was asking a lot of questions about what he said to Ronnie aswell. Plus we have no idea where Phil actually was.

Bradley I dont really think so...surely he doesnt have it in him. Sam, she had absoulutely nowhere else to be did she other than the Vic which makes it likely. Janine im not considering that much, surely someone would have seen her if she went from the car lot to the pub and back and I think she loved him too much frankly. Ronnie is too obvious but again, maybe were just being lead to believe its Ronnie.

Peggy or Sam seems possible, its one of them

 

Janine had some sort of knife, rules her out Phil with a crowbar, he used the side entrance, but the killer came in from the front, Ian just wanted the laptop, he seems to be the red herring in this, can't be him, not capable of murder. Plus no one else is leaving apart from Bradley and Sam, and Bradley most likely get the blame for it, while Peggy is sunning it in Spain with Grant.

i've gone for sam because her and peggy are leaving soon and i bet peggy takes the rap for her and sam just does a runner again. also because she prpobably thought that killing archie was the only way for the mitchells to feel proud of her seeing as though they all hate her right now. plus archie have her money to clear off and also there was no reason for her to leave the house at the time he was murdered. i do think that jack branning was the first person to see archie dead though because i bet when he went there he saw something that sam had left behind and that's why he was trying to hide that little package and he probably did that cos he didn't want sam to be found out cos didn't they go out/have an affair for a bit? also, he kept asking ronnie wether archie had said anything when she got there so he probably thinks he'd seen him come in and hide the stuff that sam left.

I think Jack but they may just have be Ian to give him a huge storyline this year.
