Posted January 1, 201015 yr Ello This is my top 70 countdown of the year. It is based entirely on my Personal Charts countdown. The chart does contain mainly female artists for I probably have the most commerical music taste EVER. The chart is based like this - If the song is at #40 it gets 1 point, #39 gets 2 points, #2 gets 39 points and #1 gets 40. So here is the first 70: 60| Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway (28-28-16-07-02-04-07) 194 Back with thier best album to date, Black Eyed Peas make the first of 3 apperances in the countdown. Meet Me Halfway is a brilliant song which shows of Fergie's tearful edged voice. The song had top 3 written on it- but I never thought they would beat Leona to the top spot, but due to a fantastic performance on X Factor they achieved just that- They beat the X Factor queen herself Mrs Lewis. Black Eyed Peas would almost certainly been higher had the chart been in another month or so. 59| Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone (22-17-12-08-06-10-16-39) 198 Calvin makes his only appearance on the chart at 69 after peaking at #8 on The Gary Chart back in late April. I first heard this song whilst on the town and I was "WTF is this dirge?" but the beat is insanely catchy. Calvin can't sing and he is a bit of a twit in real life, but he does make some fantastic dance tunes. This and "Acceptable In The 80's" are just brilliant examples of that. 58| Flo Rida ft. Ke$ha - Right Round ((05-05-04-08-15-22-29) 198 Peaks a place higher then Calvin in my chart due to have the higher peak, Flo Rida returned to the charts with Right Round- based on the song by freakshow Pete Burns. Right Round is highly infectious and catches onto your brain almost instantly- and the vocals of Ke$ha add to the hotness. If you don't know who Ke$ha is then hide under a rock- TiK ToK is an amazing tune and she is going to be the star of 2010. Watch this space. Anyways, despite not being hardly groundbreaking the song is quite brilliant in a subtle way. 57| David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over (24-06-04-03-08-15-25-32) 201 Kelly Rowland has wanted to prove for so long that she wasn't in Beyoncé's shadows. And if anything was to prove it- It was this. Produced by David Guetta and featuring blatant diva vocals from Ms Rowland- When Love Takes Over was properly one of the summer tunes of the year. I loved it on first listen, but it did grate on me alot by the end. But if you listen to it after not listening to it for a while- You just see how fresh it sounds and how actually Kelly Rowland may no longer be just "a second class Beyoncé". 56| The Young Soul Rebels - I Got Soul (13-07-06-03-08-17-31-39) 204 Featuring a string of big newcomers from 2009- including Pixie Lott, N Dubz and Chipmunk- I Got Soul was basically some big and upcoming RnB/HipHop stars coming together in a creating a song for the charity Warchild. Based on the amazing Killer's song All These Things I've Done- the shining stars in the song are probably N Dub'z Tulisha who proves she is an amazing singer and Pixie Lott who is just amazing. It rasied money for charity- it peaked at #10, it featured the hotalicious Frankmusik and was actually quite a decent tune. 55| Britney Spears - 3 (20-13-08-05-08-10-14) 208 Like the title of this song- 3 is the number of Apperances that Britney Spears has in my countdown. 3 is basically Britney saying that threesomes are good (I can't comment as I have never partaken in SUCH A THING) but thier is no double entendre here- it is straight to the point unlike If U Seek Amy (which you will find later on :P Hinthint). A song that sounds mega lush on the dancefloor- it is properly one of the most recent Britney song's where it actually could be a Britney classic. It's a great little song and a little bit racy. Bu we like that, don't we? ;) 54| Leona Lewis - Happy (28-17-12-07-06-09-16-25) 210 A beautiful song no doubt and it shows Leona DOES have a great voice. But when I first heard it was slightly "meh". I was expecting better if I'm behind honest but this basically sounds like it should be an album track and nothing more. That said, It IS a beautiful song and I loved it for about 4 weeks before I grew tired of it. Outta My Head is a brilliant song, and clearly should have the album's lead track. Thier is no doubt in my mind that WOULD have got to Number one. 53| MPHO - Box 'N' Locks (10-06-06-04-11-18-24-39) 210 It didn't set the charts alight, but Box 'N' Locks is a massive song. She is basically stating that just because shes a "fiesty little brown girl" it doesn't make her no ghetto chick. Addictive pop music at it's best- I really wished it would have been bigger because it is a brilliant little pop track. 52| Mariah Carey - Obsessed (35-05-02-05-09-10-21-30-39) 211 Said to be a hit back at Eminem who dissed her in one of his songs, Mariah basically replied that Eminem was obsessed with her and wouldn't never have a chance with her. Ouch! Did she shag Eminem? I don't know. But it makes for a perfect little pop song- which is just what Obsessed is. Her "comeback" hasn't quite been that- what with Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel being basically crap, but this song is quite the lifesaver of such an abysmal album. 51| J.R Rahman ft. Pussycat Dolls - Jai Ho! (25-12-08-06-11-15-21-28-36) 212 Instantly catchy song from a brilliant movie. Jai Ho! had me singing for weeks. If you wern't walking down the street- shouting Jai Ho! to anyone who would listen- then you wern't noone. Basically Nicole feat. J.R Rahman the song is insanely catchy if a little bit annoying after a while. Edited January 9, 201015 yr by Mistletoe + Gary

January 9, 201015 yr Author JUST REALISED I MADE A MISTAKE. ALL THE NUMBERS LISTED THUS FAR ARE ACTUALLY 60-51. OPPS. NEVERMIND, I'LL EDIT.
January 9, 201015 yr Author 50. Lady GaGa - PokerFace (25-04-03-05-09-16-22-25-36) 213 The massive success story of 2009? I loved Poker Face and still can't remmeber why she had such a crappy chart run on my chart with this song. It's hot stuff. It's such an infectious song, with an instantly hooking tune but it isn't my favourite song by Dame GaGa (which is Paparazzi, which strangely appereared in my 2008 end of year chart but only made number 79 on this year's). Lady GaGa is definatly the future of Pop and Electro music. 49. Pixie Lott - Mama Do (Uh Oh Uh Oh) (23-12-03-02-08-14-22-33-40-39) 213 I fell in love with this song but quickly got bored of it. It's an insanely catchy, retro piece of fabulous bubblegum pop but it got boring rather quickly for me. She has far better, and quirker, tunes on the album (One of which appears later on in this countdown =D) but there's no denying that Pixie Lott burst onto the scene. I was first introduced to Pixie when Gooddelta sent her to BJSC a long time ago and I've fell in love with her since. Pixie for President. 48. Ashley Tisdale - It's Alright, It's OK (33-01-01-05-09-16-23-27-38) 215 Miss Tisdale is just amazing in every sense of the words and I adored It's Alright, It's OK when I first heard it- despite it being a cheaper version of My Life Would Suck Without You. She might not have the vocal ability of Kelly Clarkson, but Ashley's album Guilty Pleasure surprasses that of Kelly's 2009 album with brilliant ballards and amazing uptempo songs. It's a shame her music career seems to be failing, as I actually think she has some decent material out there. 47. Miley Cyrus - Fly On The Wall (08-12-15-20-19-15-11-12-39) 218 A brilliant pop single and I don't care what the haters say. Miley makes her first of three apperances on my countdown. She is obviously appealing to the early teens female demographic (which I am not strangely enough!) and this song sounds like a tamer, watered down version of Britney's toxic, but it hits the buttons and does it job- making me sing and dance like a knob at parties. Miley has surprised me with her album Breakout- which featured some great songs. 46. Jade Ewen - My Man (23-10-01-01-08-14-19-26-40) 218 An amazing flop pop single! She obvisouly didn't promote the single due to her joining the Sugababes (a brave decision or a stupid one-I am still not decided) but the song was very current and Jade clearly has an amazing voice. Definatly generic and going through the very current RnB pop route, but My Man was a very worthy charttopper of my charts and I look forward to her more with the Sugababes. I think. 45. Robbie Williams - Bodies (23-15-14-10-06-10-15-25-32-37) 220 What is this? A man? On my charts? It is indeed. And a very sexy man at that. Robbie returned to the charts with his much anticipated return album and single- Bodies. A very dignified comeback with a song that didn't catch onto me straight away, but I was soon hooked before falling out love with it as quickly as falling in love with (I do ramble don't I?). Some people were expecting better, but I think Bodies is definatly a worthy comeback single from the Robster. And I am still reeling he was beaten by them muppets JLS in the album charts. 44. Keri Hilson - Return the Favor (05-02-03-05-09-17-27-38) 222 I read a great review a few months ago about this song "It's like all foreplay and no climax" which is a fantastic way to describe the song. Obviously, the song is packed full of naughty lyrical suggestions and it's a good little tune from Ms Hilson, but it never really hits the spot. Despite a little help from Timbaland, I was quite underwhelmed with this song despite it's seemingly high peak in my chart. But it is a good song but definatly not the best from In A Perfect World... 43. The Saturdays - Issues (03-05-08-12-10-16-24-29-36) 223 It sounds dated, it gets boring VERY quickly, but I was addicted to Issues for about 10 minutes earlier in the year. The best ballad on the Saturday's debut album. Overall, It's a good song but there are better on thier album. 42. Rihanna - Russian Roulette (03-02-01-01-01-04) 224 A very brillaint return from the Umbrella queen Rihanna. A very dark song which is about an abusive relationship- Rihanna has never sounded better. The song spent 3 weeks in my chart, but quickly dropped to 4 where it is currently looming and appears in the top 50 after just 6 weeks in the chart which is quite something. Russian Roulette is a step in a different direction for Rihanna, but it's a brilliant direction. I haven't listened to her new album in full yet but I doubt anything can be as good as Russian Roulette on it. It's jsut fantastic. 41. The Saturdays - Forever Is Over (16-11-08-04-05-11-22-27-40) 225 A good return from The Saturdays in the middle of the year but definatly not the ideal choice for the first single of a comeback album. Forever Is Over is a good pop-rock track which shows off some of the Saturday's singers brilliant voices (Una, in particular). It may not be the best song on the album but the chorous is orgasmic. Ego, however, is much better. Thier album Wordshaker seems to have peaked and flopped harder then I'd ever imagined it would. Good luck to The Saturdays. They seem to need it..
