January 3, 201016 yr :cheer: so Joe is the first since Steve only to get 1 week at #1 - even without Rage Joe would have spent less time on top than Leon Jackson :o shows that other singles are each year getting gradually closer to the X Factor juggernaut
January 3, 201016 yr 1 Lady GaGa - Poker Face [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2703459.JPG Chart Run: 30-26-28-24-22-15-3-3-4-1-1-1-2-3-4-5-5-6-9-11-12-14-20-24-31-26-24-22-24-31-34-38-41-41-45-51-52-58-54-60-67-60-63-66-70-74-xx-56-69-51 [49 wks] Release date: 13-4-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2703459 Label: INTERSCOPE Lady GaGa is a dance-pop singer from New York City. Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights around the city. An early collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with her ode to lost, drunken nights, "Just Dance." The song went on to top the charts in several other countries, helping GaGa to develop an international following. The vocalist made headlines at the 2009 Brit Awards when she, along with Brandon Flowers of the Killers, performed with the Pet Shop Boys on a medley of the synth-pop duo's hits, including the classic "West End Girls." - HMV Video here: Chart history (Year peak title): 2009 01 Just Dance (Lady GaGa Feat. January 3, 201016 yr I think there is too much time reading out texts and less time with music- no offence, but no one wants to hear who these people (made up mainly of attention seekers) think is gonna be number 1, about half the time there wrong Edited January 3, 201016 yr by chart wizard
January 3, 201016 yr WOO! GaGa does it for the 2nd year running! Knocks off the X-Factor winner to become the first new number 1 of 2010! Technically its already been at #1 in 2009, I wouldn't say its that new.
January 3, 201016 yr So Joe has the same chart run that Steve Brookstein had in his first 3 weeks - I wonder if he will be just as 'successful' as Steve? Same chart run... much better sales.
January 3, 201016 yr Rock That Body apparently. Poor choice, imo. Missing You is much better. There both awesome, but I think I would go for Missing You... So Joe has the same chart run that Steve Brookstein had in his first 3 weeks - I wonder if he will be just as 'successful' as Steve? So we only have a number 1 album to bare and then hes gone.... :yahoo: :P :kink:
January 3, 201016 yr says you who is loving journy dont stop believing again... glee or not joe bought that song back into the top 10 the week after the final and there is no way glee helped it more than x factor! Did I even say anything about that? No, Journey's song is a classic example of songs that should be remembered for a LONG time. Helped by X Factor or not, it is a classic that deserves its spot. Joe's s*** song is just another puke iunducing ballad by the epic s***house that is x factor, and another example of songs that the public just swallow up because someone won a talent show with it. Joe will be lucky if the song is remembered at the end of 2010 by ANYONE. Edited January 3, 201016 yr by Sunset Vista
January 3, 201016 yr I think there is too much time reading out texts- no offence, but no one wants to hear who these people (made up mainly of attention seekers) think is gonna be number 1, about half the time there wrong May sound harsh, but wouldnt people want to hear music rather than these people What amazes me is why so many people text in. Its almost as if they think it's going to make a difference.....
January 3, 201016 yr REALLY couldn't disagree more. 'Rock That Body' is the only real logical choice. I still agree missing you would've been better, Rock That Body is too much electronic. The 3 first singles were brilliant choices, the best in the album. Although the BEP's have an incredible momentum RTB will fail to make a massive impact and that won't be because it's the 4th single. The sharp voice in the chorus and after that is SO annoying Edited January 3, 201016 yr by 7heDreamer

The album will have crossed a million by then though...

You never know, it could be no.1
