So, it's ballad time.

Yes, Fascination have commissioned a third single from 'Wordshaker' and it's the Spring ballad we're all hoping will be a success... right?

Just to clarify, the label haven't called time on 'Ego' yet. This has just been leaked and I wanted to get a head start.

It was confirmed on Popjustice by their source from Universal.

 

So... will THIS save the album?

Will it be a hit?

LOVE this song, perfect choice

Not shocking at all, it should really have been the second single i think, and then ego the third. but having it now is still good. I seriously dont understand why they have announced it this early though, should really wait a while.

It's not been announced, as such.

It's a "leak" from someone who works at Universal.

Though the person that has leaked it was the person that said there'd be a song on the second album called 'Wordshaker' about 4 months before we found out about it.

So the source is reliable.

It's definitely the best choice, I'm really glad. 'Ego's not gonna go top 10 now but it's not a flop so Radio 1 will still support this, meaning it stands a good enough chance. Hope it does well and more importantly picks the album up a bit.

Good song, but I think at this time they really need a wow song, and I don't think this is it.

What I expected from to go for and probably the best choice. Now it just needs to save this album :(

I think it's an awful choice. I find the song annoyingly similar to No Air. But they couldn't really do much with the album I suppose. At least they can stand still with mics for this one and not look gormless.

One of the worst choices. It'll get critised alot for its similarity to 'No Air'. The song just really lacks something, the versus send me to sleep! I would of personally released 'Wordshaker', therefore the album would be a success, because if the public likes the title track, then they're surely gonna wanna buy the album right?!

I would've chosen 'Wordshaker' as the next single although I doubt they'll get a hit off of this album if 'Ego' couldn't be one.

This song is okay but they have better songs on the album such a One Shot and Wordshaker.

Aaah! I hope it saves the album and the era, a bit like how 'Issues' basically saved 'Chasing Lights'! Ballads tend to sell albums far more than uptempos so great choice.

 

My commercial station today, said they were working on their 3rd album already. (Probably just getting ideas and stuff for now) so it looks likely we will get a third album. Don't get your hopes up, as I'm sure it's in VERY early stages if it is true!

Surprised they've even considered a 3rd single. 'Ego' hasn't exactly lit up the charts and IMO 'Worshaker' as a whole is a weaker album than 'Chasing Lights.' The former was a record packed full of potential singles IMO, they could have released a fair few more off their first effort before jumping ship and not giving themselves or the music-buying public time to breathe. 'Lies' and 'Set Me Up' would have been a lovely close to an era, and would have pushed their album total up a bit more. I'm quite indifferent to this era as a whole.

 

I like this song and all, but i think this shouldve been there seccond single if they are releasing it imo it should really stay as an album track :)

2nd denial

3rd one shot

4th ego

or summart like that :)

This is OBVIOUSLY the best choice.

 

I like 'Wordshaker' but it's a lesser version of 'Work' really, this is a strong ballad and is more likely to do well/save the album than any other song on there.

If any song will sell the album its this, not one of my favourites though.
