Well looking back over all of those great songs makes it so hard to choose imo.

They have a had some really really great tunes. I don't know what my favourite is but today i will vote for Maybe tomorrow but it chages alot with the likes of Hurry up and wait, Pick a part that's new, More life in a tramps vest and Just looking

I really love their covers of Angie and Nothing Compares to you though

Most of those songs are classics but i wil vote for More Life in a Tramp's Vest :)

So where's their first and last singles then?

I'll vote for the first thousand of your two thousand trees I think.

Me too. Brilliant. I assume one should be "Traffic" though...

Dakota, That and 'More Life In A Tramp's Vest' are the only songs I've ever liked from them.

Yes $h!te, Traffic should be their instead of the second Thousand trees

Could someone edit it cause i can't ^_^

The first single did'nt chart so i did'nt include it and the last single would'nt fit in as it only allowes 20 ;)

I bought the first single (Looks Like Chaplin) for 10p in 1996 - I haven't bought one since :D

10p :o

yeah for a moment i thought this poll would have only one option - dakota!!!

My favourites from then would be:

"Just Looking"

"Pick a Part That's New"

"Mama Told Me Not To Come" (with Tom Jones)

"Mr. Writer"

"Have a Nice Day"

"Step on My Old Size Nines"

"Dakota"

But overall, I think Dakota

I will do a top 5 :D

1. Dakota

2. Have a Nice Day

3. Maybe Tomorrow

4. Mr Writer

5. Handbags and Gladrags

Dakota walks this, their best song by miles, a future classic :D

A thousand trees.

The "Just enough education to perform" era is easily their worst.

Dakoto is'nt near the best IMO <_<

it is as it doesnt sound as much like the stereophonics as the rest. sorry one of those bands like status quo or ocean colour scene. very squeezy marmite.

The Bartender and The Thief is my fav. Dakota is a classic although it isn't the best song they've made.

Please don't compare Stereophonics to Status "bloody" Quo

Not all their songs sound the same and Kelly Jones's voice is one of the best in the business :D

And at least don't don't do depressing song after depressing song unlike some bands

Edited by Scotty.

1) Dakota

2) Pick a Part Thats New

3) Local Boy in the Photograph
