January 10, 201016 yr Delphic... not in the top 75 :snif: Album will go Top 40 though - Can see them having a similar start to their career as the amazing The XX
January 10, 201016 yr I know it was technically released last year but if there is a better album than Alicia Keys - The Element of Freedom, released this year then it will be a great year for music. Apart from the indulgent intro - it is just brilliant!
January 10, 201016 yr Why the sudden surge for Placebo? I bought it when it was released in January 07 so why such a surge 3 years later?! Amazing track though deserves to be higher  It wasn't first released in January 2007, it's been available for years because they did a bonus disc of cover versions for one of their albums, it entered the chart in January 2007 because of being used in The O.C. It's featured in some movie soundtrack this time around.
January 10, 201016 yr By going into the UK Top 75 Album Chart at No.8, Elvis reaches 1334 Weeks on that Chart. Only Queen - 1429, & The Beatles - 1355 - are ahead of him. Elvis did not spend a single Week in the UK Top 75 in 2009. Fitting, then, that he does so in the 1st Chart of both 2010, & of the New Decade.
January 10, 201016 yr Surprised Buble is sticking around in the albums chart. Still top 5  LOL @ the xfactor lot dropping like stones. JLS :o
January 10, 201016 yr Has anyone seen Delphic's Doubt on any other TV music channel apart from NME or MTV2?
January 10, 201016 yr It wasn't first released in January 2007, it's been available for years because they did a bonus disc of cover versions for one of their albums, it entered the chart in January 2007 because of being used in The O.C. It's featured in some movie soundtrack this time around. The Placebo cover of 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' is featured in the new film....is it Daybreakers? The new vampire film - it's being heavily advertised on TV this week with the song playing throughout the ad. And Nutini's only number one because his album's a fiver everywhere..... talking of Paolo - have you EVER seen an uglier album cover?
January 10, 201016 yr A clear out finally seems to be happening, alot of big drops this week. great to see placebo back on the chart.
January 10, 201016 yr Temper Trap just falling out of the top 40 at the last minute :( :( 30 Seconds to Mars good though
January 10, 201016 yr oh dear joe mcelderry's big drop from number 2! compared to alexandra who was still at number 3 this time last year with 'Hallelujah'. lets hope his comeback is better. great to see saturdays top ten!
January 10, 201016 yr Random Noisettes re-entry. Random Noisettes re-entry. It's being used in a TV commercial - DFS I think. Its also mega cheap and tonnes of copies around. £3 in sainsburys, and like paulo florence paloma benefitting from the jools hootenanny (people actually buy talent instead of commercial in jan) effect
