Posted January 12, 201015 yr Many of you will also be confused about the second single...but what is going on?? Okay, Russian Roulette was the first single, no confusion their. But for the second single, "Wait Your Turn" got a music video said it would be the second then it was canceled. Then we were told it would be "Rudeboy" on websites such as digitalspy, but lots of websites have told me "Hard" will be the second UK single whilst its video is currently on video channels. Whats gonna happen next "Fire Bomb" video released? "Te Amo" released to music videos? I am a huge fan and i love Rihannas Rated R. But this is so messed up, as i see it "Wait Your Turn" should be next, followed by "Hard" then a summery single "Te Amo" followed by "Fire Bomb" and then "Rude Boy". what do you think...
January 12, 201015 yr This era has been totally messed up by her label. All these rush releases are the reason the material is underperforming, especially in the US. Apparantly she is going to be re-releasing rated r or a new album this summer
January 12, 201015 yr I think 'Hard' is the logical 2nd single, having heavy rotation on music channels and rising quite rapidly on iTunes (a 40 place climb yesterday alone). 'Fire Bomb' and 'Rude Boy' should be the 3rd and 4th singles imo. 'Hard' is FAR too good to not get a full release here!
January 12, 201015 yr I always thought Wait Your Turn was just an album promo video seen as she banged the album out without much notice. Glad it's not being released as the second single, it's crap, Hard is much better and has a better chance of going top ten.

It has no chance of being a single because it had so little impact on the charts. I think Hard is amazing, it could easily go top 5. Obviously it is more suited to the US market, but the same could have been said for 'Single Ladies'. That wasn't even given a release here, it was a b-side to 'if I were a boy' but it became a massive hit in the end due to radio support and of course, the video.
January 12, 201015 yr whats confusing, RR 1st single, wait your turn promo single, as it is always tough to sell an album on 1 single. rude boy was probably meant to be the uk 2nd single but seen as hard is taking off big time in america (upto #7 in the airplay charts, so will crack the top 10 this week in the offical hot 100) they have decided hard would do the same in the uk and it already has a video. rude boy is now the 3rd US single and more than likely uk to. Rated R is taking off in america right now, airplay for hard is increasing amazingly. the begining of the Rated R era was a bit muddle but i think that was down to the time of year.
January 12, 201015 yr Author I think if RiRi released Rated R in January it would her 2nd consecutive number one album. -_-
January 12, 201015 yr if it is true they are going to go with rude boy and stop the promo of hard then thats a total fail. not only is hard doing well but why send out the video and it to radio if rude boy is going to be the 2nd single :weirdo:
January 12, 201015 yr Author Shouldn't this be in the Rihanna forum? True. But this is chart related and in Chart Chat you get more responses. ^_^
January 12, 201015 yr I don't think it's THAT messed up... I think it's obvious we're getting the same order as the US did. Wait Your Turn - Promo Russian Roullete - 1st Single Hard - 2nd Rude Boy - 3rd If she does swap the last two around it wouldn't be THAT weird would it? It happens often.
January 12, 201015 yr They're trying to recreate their own version of what Beyonce's label did (by releasing two songs at the same time etc..) although I don't think it's that messed up, it just seems messed up as it wasn't quite as clear/neatly (or whatever) done as Beyonce's era.
January 12, 201015 yr It should be 1. RR 2. Hard 3. Rude Boy 4. Fire Bomb 5. Album Reissue ( New Single ) 6. NEW SINGLE FROM NEW ALBUM ;)
January 14, 201015 yr Wait is over was a Promo Release. Russian Roulette was the Official First Single. Wait is over was suposte be the 2nd Single. Then it was changed to Rude Boy. Then changed to hard with a Music video added to Music Channels and getting airplay. Finally it was Officaly announced that Rude Boy is the Official 2nd Single. Airplay for Hard is being stopped and the Music video will be stopped from Music Channels. The music Video for Rude Boy is currently getting filmed and is beginning to receive Airplay.. The Record Company Really Made a Mess of this

Such a shame :( Rude Boy is also awesome but could easily have been saved till the third single! IDIOTS!!!!
January 14, 201015 yr Yes i agree . Hard should of been the 2nd single and Rude Boy for the Third. I hope wait is over doesnt get an offical release its terrible
January 16, 201015 yr Hard was never going to be the second single in the UK The video was for the US and the UK stations started playing it (as they have in the past with US videos) and some people just made the assumption

However, 'Hard' has been getting radio airplay too.
