Oh, here we go again with this "swallow up blah blah blah" rubbish. If they don't like it, they won't buy it. If they do, they'll buy it. Nothing wrong with that.

 

They do well because a lot of people heard it, the songs had (arguably) way more exposure on the show than in the radio, music channels, etc.

I don't like the stuff from the X Factor offers, but the more people heard it and loved it, the more it gets downloaded. End.

 

Anyway, I like Glee. But their songs having to push some songs down is really a scary thought and I don't like it TBH.

Completely agree with you for once! ^_ ^ Although I don't mind them pushing down other songs really. :P

 

And how can you possibly judge it by only watching 10 minutes of it?! Talk about unfair, I don't think I would've liked the songs if I hadn't watched it properly. It starts off slow but it is amazing, full of witty one liners and underlying adult humour & themes too.

 

Like I said in a previous post, what do you want them to do?! Not release the songs because it might annoy people like you, no, it's making them money and people want to buy it, they'd be stupid not to. They hardly got mass exposure from having it on TV as well, it's not even on a main channel! So get over yourself please, and stop complaining just because YOU don't like it.

Well maybe I don't 'get' Glee, because I tried to watch it for about 10 minutes before I had to turn it off. It certainly seemed to be a hell of a lot like HSM to me.

Maybe I should give it a second chance :unsure:

You just missed EVERYTHING by not watching other 33 minutes of the first episode. I'd say the best part starts there (just when they take a football player into the club). But i just rewatched the first 10 minutes. They were amazing, if it didn't make you fall in love with the show i only can hope for Episode 4 whic is THE. BEST. THING. EVER. Seriously.

If you actually took time to give it a chance the only thing Glee has in common with HSM is that they both sing songs and are set in High School.

...and it also features a guy on the school sports team, who secretly likes singing, and there's a little crush between him and the slightly geeky girl. :lol:

 

But yeah, I've only seen the first two episodes so I can't properly compare them. So far Glee is so much better than HSM. The pilot episode is brilliant and funny, HSM is just embarrassing.

At least Glee actors don't release singles and albums otherwise they'd have already taken credit for songs they sing.

hate it. watched the first to episodes on e4 on monday and it was so boring and the covers are average.

Absolutely love glee, best new comedy show from the US in years.
