Rihanna - Breakin' Dishes

there are tons more I will have forgotten...

Beverley Knight - Black Butta

Probably one of my favourite songs ever and the annoying part is that it seems it would have been a single, but it was rejected. Based on it being the only song from "Music City Soul" included on setlist of her 100% Tour, I'd say it was the decision of Parlophone to leave this amazing song as an album track.

There are plenty more I could name, but this one annoys me the most. :(

Gwen Stefani 'Danger Zone'

Sugababes 'Ace Reject'

Bloc Party 'Zephyrus'

Pet Shop Boys 'Integral' (properly instead of the rubbish remix version)

Pet Shop Boys 'The Way It Used To Be'

Muse 'Map Of The Problematique' (album version, not pointless live version which takes away all the magic from the original)

Saint Etienne 'Milk Bottle Symphony'

Daft Punk 'High Fidelity'

Cut Copy 'Strangers In The Wind'

Siobhan Donaghy 'Medevac'

Kasabian 'Fast Fuse'

Lily Allen 'Chinese'

No Doubt 'Don't Let Me Down'

I've thought of a few more:

Alphabeat - Go-Go

Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted

Kelly Clarkson - Gone

Demi Lovato - Party

Demi Lovato - Get Back

Demi Lovato - Don't Forget

Beyonce - Ego

Leona Lewis - Best You Never Had

Pink - Bad Influence

The Saturdays - Set Me Off

Katy Perry - Ur So Gay

Lily Allen - Everyone's At It

Rihanna - Breakin' Dishes

Katy Perry - One Of The Boys/Self Inflicted

The Saturdays - Chasing Lights

Lady GaGa - The Fame/Summerboy

Will add to the list if I listen to more album tracks

Girls Aloud - Black Jacks, Singapore, Mars Attack, RBTRIT, Love Is Pain

Sugababes - Ace Reject, Better

The Saturdays - Chasing Lights, Vunerable, Fall

Pink - I'm Not Dead, Long Way To Happy, all Funhouse tracks that arn't singles.

Anastacia - I Do, Time

Lily Allen - Back To The Start, Friday Night

Beyoncé - Smash Into You, Ave Maria

Nerina Pallot - Geek Love

Ashlee Simpson - Better Off, Love Makes The World Go Round, Beautifully Broken, In Another Life

How could I forget 'Breakin' Dishes'!?

Breakin Dishes is always mentioned in these types of threads but I really don't understand why...as a decentish album track I can understand (although I think Lemme Get That and Sell Me Candy Are Better) but as a single it never would've worked. It doesn't have any decent hook or any interesting production to compensate for the lack of melody. Maybe I just don't get it.

Another thing I noticed in this thread is the amount of people saying Lady Gaga - Paper Gangster. I downloaded the Fame when it first came out in Canada so never got the new tracks (except Starstruck) so thought I better get this Paper Gangster and it's pretty good, even though it could without RedOne's "trademark" horn. But does anyone else think it kinda sounds like The Vengabus? "Don't want no paper gangster" - "The vengabus is coming"???

Ashley Tisdale - Hot Mess

Demi Lovato - Here We Go Again (UK),

Jonas Brothers - Don't Speak, Before The Storm (feat. Miley Cyrus), Inseperable

Lady GaGa - Starstruck, Beautiful Dirty Rich

Selena Gomez & The Scene - More, Stop & Erase

Taylor Swift - You're Not Sorry

  • 2 weeks later...

Alicia Keys - As i Am - Lesson Learned

Anastacia - Heavy Rotation - Defeated

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing - Runaway

Beyonce - i Am - Radio and Disappear

Britney Spears - Circus - Kill The Lights

Christina Aguilera - Back To Basics - Slow Down Baby

Girls Aloud - Out Of Control - Miss You Bow Wow

Jennifer Hudson - Jennifer Hudson - Giving Myself

Kelly Clarkson - All i Ever Wanted - Cry

Lady Gaga - The Fame - I Like It Rough

Leona Lewis - Spirit - Take A Bow

Lily Allen - Its Not Me, Its You - Back To The Start

Madonna - Hard Candy - She's Not Me

Mariah Carey - E=MC2 - I'm That Chick/Side Effects

Miley Cyrus - Breakout - Bottom Of The Ocean

P!NK - Funhouse - Crystal Ball

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad - Breaking Dishes

Same Difference - Better Love Me

Sugababes - Change - Never Gonna Dance Again

The Saturdays - Chasing Lights - Chasing Lights

as for your Rihanna point, I think Breakin' Dishes does have a decent melody and hook and I much prefer it to the skippable Lemme Get That and Sell Me Candy which are the only two tracks on the album I never listen to

as for GaGa, I completely agree, it's exactly like We Like To Party by Vengaboys, I noticed that before :heehee:

Oooft Jordin Sparks 'Freeze' too  Top 5 smash that never was! :drama:
Without a doubt (two of the imo best female commercial pop songs in the last 10 years), Britney's 'Hot As Ice' & Shakira's 'Timor'. SO ahead of their times!

la roux - as if by magic

michael jackson - fly away

james morrison - this boy

lady gaga - money honey

bjork - one day

black eyed peas - out of my head

prince - love

the prodigy - colours

jamie t - ike & tina

also, did amy winehouse ever release love is a losing game? if not, that too.. though i'm sure i heard it a lot when back to black was released so maybe it was..?

oh and great topic btw, loads of songs i haven't heard that i'm gonna give a listen.

and josh i agree, timor's wicked! i had like a month of properly being obsessed with that song but it died off. gonna go download it again now cheers for reminding me :)
