Owl City has done really well for being digitally released over a month before it's physically released.

Fireflies

It seems to be making no progress on iTunes at all. I know it got an early release and not everyone will know of it yet, but anyone think there's a chance it may not make #1 afterall? :(

This version sounds fucked. What have they done to it?!

VERY happy Owl City is #2 - hoping it'll climb eventually but worried it might just miss out each week. Don't really get the hype with Replay - I thought it was going to be #1 last week as it was a generally quiet week early January, but to still be there is a bit odd - but its not a bad song I guess. Just nowhere near as good as Fireflies!

I'm worried about that too. If the album version was available it would do better I reckon. Don't see why they had to shorten it - the original is less than 4 minutes long anyway.

I love Fireflies, favourite song of 2010 so far

Dont give up hope of Number 1, physical release still over a month away

Still not getting Replay, annoying and generic- no lasting potential whatsoever

@ Britster: Has Fireflies made any progress on iTunes. Replay will surely not get a third week on top of the summit.

But the worry is that by then, new songs like JLS One Shot and Gaga/Beyonce Telephone might be up there challenging also.

Great tune from Plan B easily a better tune than anything from the cast of "Glee"

If I had a choice between Journey and this version, I would take Journey by a long shot.

Good tune from Owl City, whose tune hit #1 last November. I hope it hits #1 in the UK real soon

I know, I know, but I still think there are many obsessed fans who do it for the reason I said, particularly JLS fans with One Shot.

No because most fans will be buying it again for the B-side Mary & remixes..

I'm happy for Flomac and all, but seriously, VW below Paolo Nutini? :(

Also, Delphic only #8, I expect it'll bomb next week too. What the hell is this André Rieu album?

From my commentary two weeks ago when it entered...

"There is only one brand new entry and it’s from flamboyant Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu. He turned 60 last year but Forever Vienna gives him his first appearance in the UK charts at number 22. As the title and the time of year would suggest it includes a number of pieces of music which feature in the annual Viennese New Year’s Day concert (Ravel’s Bolero, Strauss’s Blue Danube etc.) plus other familiar tunes but not always in the way you might be used to hearing them."

No idea why it's rocketed into the top ten this week though
