January 18, 201015 yr SHAKIRA GOT A NOMINATION WTH?! I hope she beats gaga in that category, even though I know she won't :P Hope Paolo wins best male/album!!
January 18, 201015 yr Out of those Performance Nominations I fear that Girls Aloud will win JLS style. But I hope Jarvis Cocker wins: M9UrQOYOnWo
January 18, 201015 yr Actually, when you think about it ... the Brits have put JLS in there only as a token gesture (like they did with Take That and Girls Aloud last year) they haven't a hope in hell of winning ... but it has wasted a nomination for a more worthy candidate. Norma It's voted for by Radio 1 listeners though so JLS could win. As for Joe's nomination, I can only assume the organisers received a very large cheque from Simon Cowell. There can be no other explanation.
January 18, 201015 yr As for Joe's nomination, I can only assume the organisers received a very large cheque from Simon Cowell. There can be no other explanation. British Single: The British Single category is supported by commercial radio stations throughout the United Kingdom and The Sun newspaper. The 10 nominated singles have been selected by the greatest volume of commercial radio air-play as well as sales results in the 2009 calendar year. Commercial radio listeners may cast one free online vote for your favourite single within the entire voting period. Any additional votes that you make will be discounted. The winner will be the single which receives the most votes once the vote has closed.

January 18, 201015 yr Great to see Animal Collective nominated (twice!). Nice to see Empire of the Sun nominated as well. Have they done away with the live act award this year? Seems a pity.
January 18, 201015 yr Out of those Performance Nominations I fear that Girls Aloud will win JLS style. But I hope Jarvis Cocker wins: M9UrQOYOnWo If I was going to vote ... that'd be the one I'd go for! I want to see Michael accept his award! What did I say Rich ... about the predictable Brits ... picking TT's least worthy performance for their nomination? I am miffed that The Brits dropped the Live Act (when ... yes ... I know most BJ users hate them ... but Take That had it in the bag!) On the other hand ... glad I don't have to watch the show this year. Norma
January 18, 201015 yr No offence ... but how the F*ck can JLS be nominated in the Best British Band section? Norma cause there the best :thumb dont hate congradulate your favourite is obviously not in there cause there not goog enogh
January 18, 201015 yr Yay for Florence, Lily, Kasabian, Bat For Lashes, Paolo & La Roux, i'm sooooooo glad :D.
January 18, 201015 yr It's voted for by Radio 1 listeners though so JLS could win. Best British Band has always been voted for by the Brits Panel though hasn't it? Or have they moved the goalposts for it this year? Norma
January 18, 201015 yr cause there the best :thumb dont hate congradulate your favourite is obviously not in there cause there not goog enogh Great speller aren't you. Maybe that's why JLS will win ... they're the only three letters their fans can string together? Norma Corrections: their, don't, congratulate, good, enough You did get the second instance of your 'there' right though ... so A for effort! January 18, 201015 yr Well it's official. British music has died. JLS are going to win a Brit Award. Dont be so sure 1. We were probably all saying the same thing for Lily Allen, Leona and Coldplay and look what happened there- It happens every year, an multiple nominated artist is snubbed- and this year it will be JLS, lady gaga, pixie lott, F&TM or Lily Allen- and JLS stand a good chance 2. The BRITs arent to keen on reality/manufactured acts- even Leona, it is judged by a panel, JLS may have been successful last year- but they were not critically acclaimed, the other acts all were- surely the panel will realise this As you may have guessed, I dont want JLS to win an award- I dont mind their music, but its very generic- there are much better bands Also. isnt Florence and The Machine a group? Edited January 18, 201015 yr by chart wizard
