got this album from hmv yesterday :D and after two listens, here's my review:

 

bold - highlight.

*** - best on the album.

 

10/10: On a Mission - well obviously, it's a brilliant comeback single that clicks on first listen.

9/10: Hearts Don't Lie - this is great, but I'm not as hooked on the chorus as the rest of the song.

10/10: What If You Knew - this is amazing! my 2nd favourite on the album, love the chorus.

8/10: Love Me Cos You Want To - don't love this as much as some others on the album, but it's decent.

10/10: Defender - probably the best slow song on the album. :wub:

9/10: Robots - it's great, the chorus reminds me of ellie goulding 'your biggest mistake' and lady gaga 'dance in the dark'.

7/10: Superhot - eh, it's okay. nothing really amazing about it.

5/10: Boys - worst on the album, it's pretty irritating.

10/10: Invisible Girl*** - :wub: brilliant, the chorus is killer. well all of it is, I seriously hope this is a single!

9/10: Glue - another great slow song on the album, not as amazing as 'defender' though.

7/10: Let Me Know - slightly dull.

7/10: Superman - this is alright as well, nothing that catchy about it.

9/10: Sweet About Me 2010 - a pretty good remix. ^_^

I love the album but definitely still prefer Lessons To Be Learned personally - she definitely hasn't suffered the sophomore slump though, there's not much in it.

 

As I'm seeing Leona June 12th I suppose I oughta give "Ten" a spin, I've been meaning to anyway. Bought her last album but went off it quickly. The single took ages to grow (even still I stick to the version with Eve) so I've been putting this off. I would have preferred a better support act for Leona, but I can't say I'm disappointed I'll be seeing her.

You lucky thing!! One of my (internet) friends saw GC at Glasto last year and even though she wasn't much of a fan at first I think GC's singing (and looks!) won her over :D

I can't stop listening to Boys, Superhot and remixed Sweet About Me, they're perfect!

I love this album! On A Mission is my fave song so far this year :D

 

really like 'Glue' and 'Love Me Cos You Want To' ..theres no bad tracks at all.

i love her, and i loved LTBL, and i loved WOAM & HDL, but the overall album is, I think, a mess. 'Invisible Girl' is probably the best for me, but even the chorus to that is completely ripped off the chorus to Pink's 'Bad Influence'. Im thinking she may get dropped pretty soon.

Unfortunately, it looks that way unless the next single can drum up some support for the album which has dropped very quickly out of the charts. It can't have sold much. I really dont understand why the first single didnt hang around longer, it was a pure pop masterpiece. Miles better than alot of the $h!t cluttering in the top10 at the minute.
