March 12, 201015 yr I wondwr does Pete Wterman honestly think he can do well thus year, he has been working on the entry for months and thats the best he can come up with. This is the same man who bragged on Popstars: The Rivals "the boys have got an excellent song". Then along come One True Voice and that epic masterpiece 'Sacred Trust'. Oh dear...and especially when played before Girls Aloud 'Sound Of The Underground'. It just showed up the boys effort enormously.
March 12, 201015 yr Say WHAT? If she sent Bad Romance (well, something along those lines three minutes long) and landslided the competition, I don't see how it would be a 'sad day for music' just by virtue of being associated with the contest? Nobody says Waterloo is $h!t just because it won Eurovision! If Lady Gaga was a nobody entering this contest, yes. But, now she's a megastar, I'd be really disappointed to see her enter a competition like this, and lower her standards to Eurovision.
March 12, 201015 yr I think you guys are forgetting that the song will probably be remixed and refined before it is performed in Oslo (just like My Time was last year). I personally think the song is great - I'm singing it over and over in my head already!! Fair play that it sounds a little bit "90's" but I think a little flashback to the days when it was the melody and overall "feel-good" factor of the song that mattered (without some ponse skating around or cossack dancers doing backflips) will do Eurovision 2010 some good!! Besides I can hardly call Fairytale contemporary (in fact none of this "folk-phase" that everyone seems to be being sending is). You've got to strike a happy medium between being optimistic and realistic in how well we are going to do!!
March 12, 201015 yr I think something suspicious is going on with our entries. Last year, we were telling people that it was our time [to win], and now we're trying to convince Europe that our song sounds good :P
March 12, 201015 yr I didn't watch the show as I felt it would be quite a waste of my life but here's the youtube vid i found and I'm assuming it's the winning song... FKtWTdgUJzs Pretty much as bad as I'd expected... Edited March 12, 201015 yr by TomGLEEboo
March 12, 201015 yr Please BBC. Bribe Gabriella Cilmi to send On A Mission. Please. It's been released, does that not make it ineligible? 4.0 has no credibility left, they should be bribed into sending Crash & Burn or god forbid TYFTH

FKtWTdgUJzs Pretty much as bad as I'd expected... f*** me sideways, thats so far beyond horrific. I can't believe after a Dianne Warren penned epicballad we're sending that steaming heap of $h!te.
March 12, 201015 yr It's been released, does that not make it ineligible? 4.0 has no credibility left, they should be bribed into sending Crash & Burn or god forbid TYFTH If it wasn't able to be listened to by the public before October 1st 2009, it would be able to enter
March 12, 201015 yr This is retarded, i can't even watch this on iPlayer. And the BBC haven't put any clips up of the Babes or Rybak urgh
March 12, 201015 yr Wanted Esme to win after 1st performance, but was shockinly bad with Pete's song, I hate Josh for some reason lol His voice is so boring and never changes. Alex at least looks good and had more passion in his voice, between the boys Alex should have easily won and in eurovision final Alex would have got more points simply for being gud lookin!!
March 12, 201015 yr Well, the best act won, but the song is just a tad mediocre and doesn't go anywhere. It needs an added beat to give it a more uptempo feel and a key change somewhere towards the end. The intro is rather good though. 15th-16th at best in the final at the moment. I get the feeling that this song was meant to be on The Sheilas album  .

March 13, 201015 yr I think it was inevitable that the song would get slated in this way, and that the song would be something of this nature. Josh is a talented singer, but he does need to work on his moves. The song sounded really good in the hall, or rather I wasn't sure at first, but by the time Josh was on it sounded like a catchy, modern pop song. Having just watched the first performance of it on YouTube, it looks like the broadcast mixing was poor, and it didn't seem to give the full effect. A lot of work needs to be done on this, but if it's remixed, and we get a promo tour, it's not game over. Yet. Still it was my first live NF so :w00t: anyway
March 13, 201015 yr I had concerns when I heard Pete Waterman was writing the song this year, he's so not what Eurovision is about these days yet exactly what Britain THINKS Eurovision is about - so I knew it'd end badly. The show was awful. ALL of the performers were absolutely rubbish - the winner can hold a tune but is a complete dullard on stage, and the song sounds like a reject from the 1980s. I doubt the green flashing lights at the beginning of the performance will save it. And that's without mentioning the continuous praise from three judges who were obviously listening to something completely different to the rest of us. I fully expect to come bottom five this year.
March 13, 201015 yr what were the SugaFakes like Tom? Fab, Jade is a godess  99% certain they sang live. Very classy and professional. Wish they had done About A Girl, it's a much better song than Wear My Kiss tbh, but it was cool.
March 13, 201015 yr It's been released, does that not make it ineligible? Nope. So long as it wasn't released before October last year, it's eligible...
March 13, 201015 yr aaaaaaanddd we are back to the mid '90s  too bad after a great year the UK is going 15 years back :/ bottom 5 I guess...
