Radio 1 seriously need to get behind this song. It's amazing how one play in the afternoon can boost the tracks sales, then again when played on Floorfillers.

Now imagine the impact if it was played nearly every two hours. :D

I've always wondered, how often is it that Radio 1 play the songs on their playlist? Would C-list be like once a day, A-list like 8 times a day and then B-list something in between, maybe?

And it's up to #63 now!

It's also #99 on Irish iTunes, #75 on Canadanian iTunes, but the most shocking thing to me is that it's #809 on US iTunes! :o

It's also finally charted in Spain, making #41 in the official chart.

Big news!

It was played on the Chris Moyles show by Scott Mills this morning (right after the Mystery Caller, which was hilariously, an absolute fiasco) which I believe is the most listened to radio show, so that is good. But what's better, is Scott said it's his record of the week. I'm not entirely sure, but I think this means he'll play it everyday this week, which is very good. It might get top 40 this week or next, if this is the case.

He also said that the song will be played tommorrow, but that an English version will be played. The Erik Hassle version, maybe?

Also, does anybody know where Alors on danse charted in the UK singles chart last week? It surely must've outpeaked #144, and it was in the top 60 on iTunes by Saturday, and it climbed to #17 on the Dance chart.

Stromae - grab that #1 smash in September. :w00t:

Scott Mills; the saving grace of Radio 1 (although kudos to Fearne Cotton also playing the song a couple of times).

Good news guys! :w00t:

40. Alors on danse (Radio Edit) - Stromae

HE'S HIT THE TOP 40 ON ITUNES.

This is definitely one of those times when I hope the UK chart influences the Irish chart. :kink: I'm surprised that it hasn't gotten any airplay on my local station because sometimes they play foreign stuff. :(

Hellz yeeeeeeeeeah :cheer: I was still kind of convinced it would flop. Did Scott play the Erik Hassle version this morning?

Back to #189 in Ireland. It seems to surge every now and again. :heehee:

I don't know. I looked on the track-list for the Chris Moyles show, and I couldn't find any mention of it. :( He definitely said he was going to play it. Perhaps he wasn't allowed to or something, or they forgot to put it on the website, or he's on the radio again later today.

And it's got into the top 100 on iTunes in Ireland before, so I think it could do well eventually. Is it released in September there aswell?

Isn't it amazing how after like... er 5 plays on the Radio 1 this song is flying around #40-45? It shows not only the power of Radio 1  but the fact that the song is destined to be huge even in the UK market. I think 'Alors on Danse' is one of songs which will define 2010 music-wise.

They did play the Erik Hassle english version this morning. Scott played it around 8:40am this morning but said he would play the french version tomorrow (he said he prefered the french version but the callers opinions were mixed, either loving one or the other).

If music channels also begin playing it then I can see it going top 10 in no time to be honest, here's hoping Radio1 playlist now.

PS Ireland usually has the same release schedule to us as they get the same channels as us too.

Just listened to it, it sounds really good on radio, though Scott is right, the French version is better. 99% sure that if it gets playlisted (which I'm still kind of 50-50 about) it will be this version, Poor Erik Hassle not even getting one mention though :(
I'm still surprised Clubland TV haven't added Stromae to their playlist. They have playlisted some right crap videos in the last few weeks which makes it all seem a lot more disappointing. Unless there's a record company issue preventing the video from being played on several UK music channels.

Thanks guys. :) I've just listened to it now. It was played after Call the Shots.

Yeah, it's a shame they didn't credit Erik Hassle, although if they playlist it, they surely will. Not to mention, if Stromae can't speak English, Erik Hassle might be needed to promote the song here (e.g. interviews), if they're going to do that.

Well having seen all the buzz about this, I finally heard this for the first time today...and I'm completely underwhelmed. What a lot of fuss about such a mediocre track!

Booo :(

It's hypnotic and pretty damn fantastic, and inside the iTunes top 40 for the first time at #37 :cheer: definitely going top 75 this week so even if Radio 1 completely stop supporting it after Friday and it picks up no promo elsewhere, at least it will have made some mark on the UK charts  Definitely a grower though, don't give up after one listen - I liked but didn't completely love it until at least 5 or 6 listens in.
