Yes, heard it on iPlayer earlier. It made a real change to hear a show where the centre of attraction was the chart.

Just listened to this, really cool, and they even played Gabs Cilmi :w00t: It's amazing to hear a top 40 rundown again. There must be someone at Radio 1 that still cares about the charts, I've got some of my faith back :lol:

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Greg was the one who came up with the idea for the show. I used to compile the chart for him on the UEA radio station and he used to run down the midweek charts on that too. Thought he did an excellent job and I wouldn't be surprised if Reggie gets the bullet very soon. Apparently his last RAJARs were a complete disaster - Big Top 40 are now getting almost double his listeners.

Wow, that's shocking :o Though it does make me quite happy :kink: It's cool that you've worked with Greg, I dont' listen to his show normally but based on this show, he seems to be exactly the sort of guy who should be doing the chart. One that cares about the chart, but can be friendly and modern at the same time. If you want chat about nothing, then you should be listening to commercial radio :P

I think that's why they're doing the mid-week charts now, because that's what the Big Top 40 show does (except BT40 does it on the Sunday).

So did they use the Wednesday mids we had this morning, or did they adjust for any data from midnight through to 3pm today (unlikely but thought I'd ask)?

Just had a listen to the 2nd show on i-player! Exactly what they should be doing on a Sunday though obviously filling the remaining 2 and a half hours with the rest of the songs in the chart......
