Do you know what I'm genuinely stumped for who's left to come.

2 Sugababes, 2 Gaga, Kylie, Robyn, Leona, Nelly Furtado, Britney "Toxic", All Saints...beyond that it's a blank.

There can't be any male acts I'm sure?

I think there are a few male acts still to come...won't ruin the suspense by revealing who, but highlight below if you want to see...

All Saints - Pure Shores

Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor

Beyonce - Crazy In Love

Britney Spears - Toxic

Coldplay - Viva La Vida

Gorillaz - DARE

Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire

Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

Lady Gaga - Poker Face

Leona Lewis - Run

Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

Lily Allen - The Fear

Nelly Furtado - Maneater

Pink - Just Like A Pill

Rihanna ft Jay-Z - Umbrella

Robyn ft Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat

Sugababes - About You Now

Sugababes - Hole In The Head

Tatu - All The Things She Said

That's actually a shockingly good list. Well done BJ! There aren't any ones there I could really quibble - even the Arctics who I personally dislike, but can appreciate they're not the usual BJ pop trash.

Eminem much higher than I thought, well done Em :D

Leona or something like that will be no.1, I BET!!!

Or maybe Robyn and Kleerup. That is loved around here.

I predict:

1. Britney Spears - Toxic

2. Rihanna - Umbrella

3. Sugababes - About You Now

4. Robyn - With Every Heartbeat

5. Lady Gaga - Poker Face

Not the worst top 5 if this happens to be the case.

Surprised Lily Allen has done so well but deserved I suppose considering she usually releases $h!t. Only one I can't stand is 'Dare' though. The Gorillaz have had far better material imo.

I'm thinking Robyn or 'Toxic' will win tbh though I'd like it to be 'Poker Face' ^_^

In about half an hour I shall count down 20-11. I can reveal that at least one of these will be posted tonight....

It was posted earlier that three artists had 2 tracks in the top 20. I rounded it down to Lady GaGa, Sugababes and...Britney Spears (...doh!!! :drama: ). I thought 'Born To Make You Happy' had managed top 20 for some reason.

20 Gorillaz 'DARE' - 626 points (23 voters, 13th in Heat 2)

UK Chart Run: {1}-2-3-8-11-15-18-16-20-21-22-28-33-29-45-47-50-42-47-55-57-65-68R(2)-58-61-69-62R(5)->27

I'm surprised this managed to finish in the top 20, especially after its relatively average performance in the heats. It managed to keep most of its big points though, and finishes the lowest of four songs in the top 20 by a predominantly male act, although it is Rosie Thomas AKA Noodle that has a lot of the vocals on it...

I think IGF will be top 20

19 All Saints 'Pure Shores' - 639 points (27 voters, 8th in Heat 2)

UK Chart Run: {1}-1-2-3-7-9-12-18-26-32-40-41-50-66-74-69->16

This is the oldest song in the final. It was released at the beginning of 2000 on the soundtrack to 'The Beach' and is far more fondly remembered than I imagine it would be.

18 Sugababes 'Hole In The Head' - 640 points (26 voters, 9th in Heat 3)

UK Chart Run: {1}-5-6-8-19-25-39-42-58-70-72-69-69->13

The first single from their third album, this became another number one for the girls and proved they'd be round for some time yet.

Pure Shores still gets a hell of a lot of airplay even now, same with Never Be The Same Again actually...I can definitely see why they both made the top 40

was never a huge fan of Hole In The Head...

'Dare' is absolutely vile imo. Can't stand the vocals, it's so ridiculously annoying. :(

Love both 'Pure Shores' and 'Hole In The Head'. Surprised All Saints came so high actually!

17 Arctic Monkeys 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' - 640 points (28 voters, 7th in Heat 3)

UK Chart Run: {1}-2-2-5-9-8-13-14-17-25-17-15-16-23-22-33-43-42-46-51-50-61-68-68-75R(5)->25

They came out of nowhere to top the UK Charts. The week it was released the chart debate was whether McFly could knock Sugababes off the top spot. A few people (myself included) were ridiculed for suggesthing there would be a third contender, how could a band hardly anyone had heard of and wasn't all over music channels and commercial radio be a contender for UK number one?! But after over a year of constant touring they'd built up a hell of a fanbase, helped by huge word of mouth success and the internet (the first band to come out of the 'Myspace Generation'). The midweeks came in and this had a 20% lead over anything else, and unlike most indie acts it didn't trail off but kept increasing and held out all week. The hype became fairly ridiculous and they became incredibly huge, but unlike most acts just did what they wanted to do, the joys of remaining indepandant. It's without doubt their catchiest and most accessible song, but their best? I'd say far from it.

16 Pink 'Just Like A Pill' - 690 points (34 voters, 4th in Heat 3)

UK Chart Run: {1}-4-5-6-11-8-15-22-30-42-65->11

A reinvented Pink had become growingly popular in 2002, but it was her third single from her album that gave her her first solo number one single. I'm shocked at how the difference in performance of her two tracks were, this comfortably top 20, 'So What' no where near qualifying.

Decent results so far - made up that Pure Shores and DARE have done so well in the top 20 so far.
