February 4, 201015 yr Author The pope's visit sounds like a good excuse for a BJ get together we can all abuse and throw stuff at the c**t I'm down for that.....
February 4, 201015 yr I'm down for that..... Me too but better not tell anyone at the church meeting tonight.
February 4, 201015 yr You'd think the Pope was a reincarnation of Hitler.. The man is vile. Catholicism is vile. Will the religion ever change its views? Most probably not.
February 4, 201015 yr Author You'd think the Pope was a reincarnation of Hitler.. The man is vile. Catholicism is vile. Will the religion ever change its views? Most probably not. Well, Ratzinger was in the Hitler Youth..... But apparently only because he was "forced" to be..... Well, okay, I'll believe it....
February 4, 201015 yr You'd think the Pope was a reincarnation of Hitler.. The man is vile. Catholicism is vile. Will the religion ever change its views? Most probably not. No it won't change it's views. Some people think a younger modern Pope may change some things but I doubt it very much.
February 4, 201015 yr The Catholic Church are ignoring the fact that the law works both ways. It would be illegal for the church to deny someone a job as a cleaner because they were gay. It would also be illegal for a gay couple to deny someone a job as a cleaner because they were Catholic.
February 5, 201015 yr Considering the Catholic church is dead set against Homosexuality, how come it stands by the kiddy fiddling priests who in 90% [or so] of the reported cases of child abuse have been doing the alter boy. Male priest + Alter boy = Homosexual no? The man's a hypocritical prick. I do not agree with the Catholic church's stance on many things. I for one am pro-choice, i believe that your sexuality is not something you chose, nor with god 'smite' you for not being hetro. leading on from that, surely 2 decent law abiding gay people are much less 'sinfull' then many hetro's?... if you take the bible literally isnt any sexual act outside striaght married sex sinfull?.. that would then include masturbation, oral sex, and many other innoccuous , normal, healthy, acts.. and how tf can god punish someone for their GIVEN sexuality?... how many people have been converted to 'straights' by earnest prayer?... NONE! therefore god clearly has no problem with gays.
February 5, 201015 yr http://www.secularism.org.uk/petition-the-pm.html Vote in a petition for the Catholic Church to pay for the visit ie security etc.

February 5, 201015 yr Here's part iof a post from another forum which I found interesting. I was not raised a Catholic but I married one. Her (not mine note please) sin was marrying me despite the fact I was divorced. MY wife, who had never been married and attended church every week, wanted to get married in church yet her faith turned its back on her for the sin of falling in love with a divorced man. I even offered to convert (hypocritical of me ? maybe but my wifes faith meant a lot to her so if I had to do so then I would have done so for her), but the Priest told me it was impossible, that if we wished to marry then we could not get married in the church and, this is a direct quote that I recall word perfect from years ago, "any children we had would be bast*rds in the eyes of the church". This was the same priest who was known for beating choirboys who 'stepped out of line' in mass, the same priest who would attend Sunday dinner with all sorts of parishioners that cheated, drunkenly abused there wives and kids and comitted all sorts of sin BUT contributed to the church, so that was ok - a few quid a few hail maries and then off we go again to sin, and the same priest who denied a recomendation to my wifes brother going to a local catholic school because his mother did not help out enough around the church. And this man had the FULL support of the church despite repeated complaints. Why ? Why allow a man like this to act in this was ? Could it be becuase the church can NEVER be seen to be wrong. Now you tell me how a man like that can have the sheer arrogance to judge another fellow human being. I have no problem with personal faith and belief if that is what you want but please, dont pretend the church is not riddled with crooks and scoundrels and is run by the church for the church."
February 5, 201015 yr The only reason there are priests in the first place is because for centuries, gay men have been joining the priesthood. For reasons of guilt/shame but also because it was the only place a man could escape the societal pressure to marry a woman. In Washington, DC where I live, since the district legalized gay marriage, the catholic diocese are going to pull all social services out of the city, including soup kitchens and food pantries and homeless shelters. Isn't that the most pitiful, asinine, childish thing you can imagine?? Using vulnerable, poor people as pawns in a political battle... very "Christ-like" indeed  And the pope himself, he is beyond contemptible. Claiming publicly that condoms make HIV/AIDS worse is among the most shocking, appalling, despicable things any public figure has ever muttered as far as I'm concerned. And he said it LAST YEAR.
February 7, 201015 yr I know that, i thought i'd glide over that overwhelmingly obvious point to back up my point that their view on Homosexuality is wrong. I'm pretty sure Catholics don't actually condone kiddy fiddling. That is just as discriminatory a view as the Pope's of homosexuals. As someone with a lot of Catholic friends, who I am very open with, I don't have a problem with the Pope coming to this country. I may not agree with many extreme aspects of their religion but who am I to say they should not be allowed to follow it? By banning the pope all we would be doing is angering millions of people and giving them very good reason to hate homosexuals. Furthermore the vast majority of Catholics are not as extreme as the Pope and have no problem with gays, they may not encourage it but none have ever disliked me because of their religion. With regards to the actual legislation. I do hope that the government can make it illegal to discriminate against homosexuals in this way but don't understand why any gay person would want to be such an integral part of Catholicism especially if they would be offending so many of their peers by doing so.

And he said it LAST YEAR. what a brilliant post. This Pope made his idiot comments about condoms last year - however, I blame the Pope before who really sowed the seeds of doom with regards to contraception - especially in Africa where the Catholic church has ensured the end of generations with their ridiculous stance on contraception. And remember Africa is the only continent where Catholicism is actually on the rise..... :( As for the church removing services in Washington - as you say, how very Christ-like. What a spiteful act.
February 7, 201015 yr the Pope is also coming to Portugal in May. I'm sure he's gonna rant how gay marriage has been approved over here this year. Can't stand the vile cvnt anyway
February 8, 201015 yr Author I'm pretty sure Catholics don't actually condone kiddy fiddling. That is just as discriminatory a view as the Pope's of homosexuals. The Catholic Church covers up for Paedophile Priests instead of turning them over to the authorities for punishment, then they're spirited off away to a "retreat"... It's a FACT, ..... So, if that's not tacitly condoning the behaviour of paedophile priests I dont know what is..... <_<
February 9, 201015 yr how does the catholic church explain paedophile preists?.... i mean, if its against gods will how come ironically, so many are paedos? doesnt that prove that it cant be 'cured' by prayer?... oh god... just realised, does this mean god accepts the existance of paedophiles? or does it prove that god doesnt exist?... i wonder which!!!!!! pmsl.
