Basically on iTunes there's already two versions of I Got You and now I Got You- The Single Version is out to preorder which is going to be the third one so I Got You (album version one) that is falling is because people are pre-ordering the single version and not the album version. Are you with me now? Do get what I'm trying to say? Hope it's not confusing anymore. ;)

Surely if people want the song then they would download an already avaliable copy of it - rather than wait for the single version to be released

lol @ some of the comments about I Got You.

I think people are forgetting leona has had 7 consecutive top 5 singles..

The video for IGY has been out a day, i for one havent seen it on TV once yet, starting monday, hopefully e4music will have it on their top 10 and start plying it then from there we will see it shoot in to the top 40 of itunes. I think the video was released so late so that it didnt peak to early thats why its in the 50s atm.

So far only GMTV & This Morning confirmed for promo, hoping for alan carr, dancing on ice, loose women, alan titchmarsh..hopefully some of those or different ones.

I cant see it not going top 15 AT LEAST, imo it will be top 10 and get echo back up the charts again.

 

Rude boy possibly get top 5 officially soon?

Probably to boost sales of the single when the track is physically released. The combined sales along with the physical sales would help the track go top 20. If only the album version was available to buy on iTunes with the cd single, it's combined sales would be lucky to go top 40. The more versions, the more sales when combined = the higher chart position possible.

 

Didn't do Robyn any harm when 'With Every Heartbeat' had something like 16 remixes all available and charting inside the iTunes top 200 when the track hit no. 1 in the UK. ^_^

the intrest in leona has deffinately reduced, people just aren't as intrested in a new leona song. IGY could very well miss the top 5, as when you read music forums people are just blah on leona now.

Well excuse me. I don't who you think you are? But anyway, The KC- Leona comparison come from they are both amazing singers and have both one mega successful album then follow-up is complete flop and singles from it don't do well.

tacticz, that is a pretty stupid comment to make..echo has hardly flopped, i like rihanna but tell me her album sales please?

A million worldwide on back of Happy is poor compared to Spirit yes but a complete flop it is not.

I don't think anyone cares about Leona now. If she wants to keep her career in the spotlight she should release the up-tempo tracks off "Echo". It seems she's becoming a one-trick pony with these dull ballads being released off the album and in that Avatar film.

 

Give her a year, she'll be on the scrapheap if she persists like this.

Ok I retracted my comment. It was a stupid comment. Echo did semi-flop only 8 weeks in the top 40 and wasn't noticed worldwide. I guess everyone has their time. Rated R has stayed 11 consecutive weeks since it's release. So don't try and put RiRi in the subject LL1. B) :lol:

The reason why Rated R has lifted properly in the UK is becuase the drastic change in music for Rihanna. Echo is Spirit part 2 just another boring collection of ballads. Rated R will climb re-peak with the help of new single 'Rude Boy'. Also Rated R has sold over 1.5 million copies. Echo just touching 800,000 worldwide. :) :lol:

Anyway, i don't know how you can call Kelly's album AIEW a flop or Le's Echo. I'd easily say Kelly's MD wasn't the most successful but even that did ok in the UK based on chart positions. But i guess sales are things that matter.

 

Anyway you might need to go and look what a flop is. Echo has sold 600k off the back of a perceived underperforming lead single. Now imagine how many sales it would have at the end of it's run - and this is only referring to the UK sales. Worldwide, it could easily sell over 3 million.

 

I hate to bring Rihanna into it as i love her (to a lesser extent) but trying to laugh at the fact that Kelly and Leona are 'flops' is hypocritical as well as immature and, more importantly, ignorant.

 

Anyway, moving on. IGY is the VIP Track Of The Week on The Box so should improve after the weekend.

Agreed. Though of course Simon will keep her doing them. She needs to break away if she doesn't want to disappear soon, but highly doubt she'll do that.
