Glee's album surely won't chart in the album chart as it's a compilation?

Yep, it's an album by The Cast Of Glee. It's not an album by lots of different artists. The Slumdog Millionare soundtrack charted on the official chart and that was even more dubious...

It's already had a chart run of 93-58-59-68 on imports only. Volume 2 has débuted at #94 this week too.

It avoids the compilation listings due to being credited to one entity, 'Glee Cast'.

A bit like the top 40 album 'Classics' by Rhythms Del Mundo, which was for all purposes a comp.

 

On another note, I'd like to see Florence or Robbie at #1 in the albums this week, in fact Robbie really deserves the #1, hope he can pull it off.

I also really hope Lemar can get a much-needed top 10 hit, Radio 1's snubbage needs to be given a bit of the what-for. The Courteeners for top 30 would be nice too.

And Owl City to hold #2 as well. The superior album version is flying up iTunes :w00t:

The album chart is going to change so much tomorrow, I never expected PSB live album that high, I can see it falling though after the Brits
