Posted February 15, 201016 yr Glee Cast Believin' in chart-topping prospects 10:43 | Tuesday February 16, 2010 By Paul Williams Albums Glee Cast could follow their flood of entries in the UK singles chart in recent weeks with the likes of Don't Stop Believin' by topping the artist albums chart this coming weekend. The Epic-issued Glee – The Music – Vol 1, which was down in 68th place on last Sunday’s chart, is presently outselling its nearest rival, J/RCA act Alicia Keys’ The Element Of Freedom, by more than two copies to one, with Interscope/Polydor’s Lady GaGa with The Fame in third spot. However, Glee Cast could face competition for the top spot by the end of the week as tonight's Brit Awards, being screened live on ITV1, is likely to have a big influence on the make-up of the top end of the chart. Virgin’s Peter Gabriel is looking to return to the Top 10 for the first time since September 1994 with his newly-issued covers album Scratch My Back the fourth top seller of the week so far, while Island’s Owl City is likely to add a Top 10 album with Ocean Eyes to his recent chart-topping singles success with Fireflies. Ten months after their last studio album, Pet Shop Boys will return to the chart this Sunday thanks to the newly-issued set Pandemonium, capturing them live at The O2 Arena. =================================== Singles Over on singles the Syco-issued Helping Haiti charity single Everybody Hurts should have an easy second-week victory at the top of the chart, although its sales have falling sharply from last week when it opened with 453,426 sales. It heads a top five which at this stage of the week is identical to last Sunday’s chart with Island’s Owl City at two, Interscope/Polydor’s If We Ever Meet Again by Timbaland featuring Katy Perry at three, J/RCA’s Alicia Keys with Empire State Of Mind (Part II) at four and Epic’s Glee Cast at five with Don’t Stop Believin’. February 16, 201016 yr I think Owl City will start off top 10 but be pushed down because of the Brits... It's sold fairly consistantly in America so will be interesting to see how it fares here. As for Glee, I'd have put it at #1 any other week but I think it'll end up behind Florence, Alicia and possibly Paolo.

Good to see you here too :D I'm thinking that cos since she's in the bottom part of the iTunes Chart (not top 40) where there aren't many sales between each position, the BRITs effect will push her down to #60 or something *sobs*
