Posted February 22, 201016 yr Brits boost carries on 11:16 | Tuesday February 23, 2010 By Simon Ward Singles The Brits effect is likely to rule the charts again this weekend, with midweek sales flashes indicating that Florence + The Machine and Dizzee Rascal's You Got The Dirtee Love (Dirtee Skank/Island) will top the singles rundown on Sunday. The track entered last week’s chart at number two after being released just hours after the pair’s performance at the Brits ceremony and now commands a healthy lead on Jason Derulo’s In My Head (Warner Music), next week¹s likely highest new entry. Sugababes’ Wear My Kiss is battling for a top three placing with Alicia Keys’ J-released Empire State of Mind (Part II). Fellow Brit winner Ellie Goulding¹s Starry Eyed (Polydor) is in contention for a Top 10 debut, but Helping Haiti’s current chart-topper Everybody Hurts is destined to struggle for a foothold in the upper tier after crashing to a midweek position of number nine. Elsewhere in the singles chart, Chiddy Bang’s Opposite Of Adults(Regal) is on course for a top 20 debut while Leona Lewis’ I Got You (Syco) and The Resistance by Muse (Helium 3/Warner Bros) are on course to make healthy increases. =================================== Albums In the albums chart, The Fame (Interscope) by triple Brit winner Lady GaGa is expected to return to the top spot after sales of the album increased by 38%, with the Glee Cast falling to number two. Also feeling the Brits effect is Florence + The Machine, whose album Lungs (Island) has rocketed by nearly 120% to secure another week in the top five. Jay-Z (Roc Nation), JLS (Epic), Robbie Williams (Virgin) and Kasabian (Columbia) all register strong week-on-week sales increases within the top 20 after putting in appearances at Earls Court last week. Probable new entries to the Top 10 come from Marina & The Diamonds (679), The Courteeners (A&M) and Johnny Cash (American/Lost Highway), while Top 40 debuts from The Hollies (EMI), Gracie Fields (Decca) and Enter Shikari (Ambush Reality) are also likely. ======================================================================== Top 40 Only Singles 1 FloDizz 2 Jason DeRulo 3 Sugababes 4 Alicia Keys 5 Ellie Goulding Top 10 10 JLS Top 15 Jay-Z ft. February 23, 201016 yr Well, AAG was #5 on Tuesday midweeks and #8 after all. If WMK is at least #6 by Sunday, it isn't that bad, is it? :)
February 23, 201016 yr Well, AAG was #5 on Tuesday midweeks and #8 after all. If WMK is at least #6 by Sunday, it isn't that bad, is it? :) #5 at most is a little more realisitic.

February 23, 201016 yr Third. :) And yes, britster, I think they'll end up at #5-7 on Sunday. Thanks.
February 23, 201016 yr Do Sugababes and Leona usually have good Physical sales? Well Sugababes must do if they are #3, despite being around #7/#6 on iTunes yesterday.
February 23, 201016 yr I'm really suprised Sugas are that high (if its true that is) I wonder where Leona is
February 23, 201016 yr Do Sugababes and Leona usually have good Physical sales? I don't think physicals matter too much. For normal singles (I mean not charity or X Factor winner) physicals are around 1-2k.
