Leona desrves to be higher but top 20 is great considering. Hope it stays there or actually rises. She's on This Morning and Alan Titchmarsh apparently so it could creep top 15 hopefully.

leona should release her version of "Obsessed"

anyway.. hope she stays in the top 20 :D

(or 15 :P )

Well GaGa wasn't bothered about it as her album is still selling extremely well. #1 on album charts actually. Sorry, where's Leona?

TROLL

You mean an album that's had two global #1s, as opposed to an album that's had one underperforming single?

THREE Global number 1's :smoke: ('Bad Romance' reached number 1 just about everywhere but US didn't it?)

Plus it's been re-released, Leona's hasn't...

YET :kink:

Ergh look at the new releases:

Jason

Ellie

Sugababes

Chiddy

All four are the highest new entries this week right, however NONE are off a double platinum selling album so for leona to be #19 so far, i wouldnt call it a flop. People need to stop unnecessairly hating, think about it, how does it impact on your life, or are people so bitter they must hate on others success, i dont know just dont really get it tbtfh.

Lady GaGa #1 in the albums. ^_^ Also, great to see Marina doing well, I hope she can at least overtake Glee.

Whoa @ the Sugas :o ^_^ but they will probably fall out of the top 5 by the end of the week. Flomac & Dizzee for #1. :D

ok leaona fans are starting to p*** me off, great considering what? it has a video out, a cd, shes on t.v promoting it and decent radio support, heck most artist don't get any of that, if a song is good enough it will sell, leona has more than enough positive input from her label. it has no excuse for being only 19 bar it not being good enough of a song. rihanna has a video, no cd and shes not in the uk promoting it yet, it was #6 last week

IIRC none of the 4 listed have had albums released.

Sugababes album isn't even released until March 15th

Sadly LL1 it is a case of what goes around comes around regarding you.You constantly bash Will Young and Alexandra Burke so you should not be surprised if people are doing the same thing to Leona.

Really happy for Sugababes! I really like Wear My Kiss... and I wasn't enjoying it at first (especially the original version).

YAY for Gaga back to #1! :D

Yep. (They're not counted together in the US though for some reason).

Silas exactly, the songs arent even on an album!

erm marrb i really do not constantly bash anyone, i've only discussed those two with discussions with 'loony' will young fan truly talented and 'loony' alexandra burke fan you. I do not go out of my way to bash anyone as its just a waste. I am on here supporting artists i like, thats it. :S

I was going to come in and comment about how it's nice to see British acts doing well in the top 5 again (with Daisy Dares You to follow next week), but I see this is yet another thread that has descended into people bitching and arguing about Leona Lewis :(
I really hope FloDizz can hold off Jason derulo there is nothing special about his song.I am sure Alicia will be above the Babes come Sunday.I think Leona will have to settle for a low Top 20 place and maybe just a 5 week run in the charts tops.

Time to diffuse a topic, can you all stop the Leona bitching, what's the point of me posting rules if they are not read.

It's getting boring now, and straying off the subject, members just want to come and visit us to read the mids not all the clap trap that goes with it. Otherwise I will make this topic read only as from next week.

I'm really getting fed up with Buzzjack lately with all these unnecessary comments in here and the iTunes thread, I think its time for me to give up completely as I'm so getting tired of repeating myself and falls on deaf ears.

I wouldn't bet on it, The babes have overtaken her on iTunes. Given that Elle is ahead of them it looks like it'll be Elle #3, Sugababes #4 and Alicia #5 on Sunday

Without meaning to upset anyone, I'd rather Ellie did better in the charts than Sugababes, because the Sugababes' song, although alright is pretty generic, muddled and feels like three solo singers all on one song. Ellie's voice is so different, and the quality of the song is great. I'm not saying that just because she won polls or awards. I wasn't dead keen on 'Under The Sheets' but I've really warmed to Starry Eyed. Top 3 for it please!

By my standards, for a second single of an album, 'I Got You' is a flop seeing as all her previous singles have reached the top 5... Just like LoveGame was a flop for Gaga (But I recall it spent a lot of time floating around the 25-32 area ages before release.) It's a bit like the point someone else made in the other thread - Artists that survive adapt their sound from albums to albums, or else they eventually fade out. Just look at Mika, Mariah Carey etc. I would really support Leona if she tried something new (and I don't mean autotune!) Ballads and semi-ballads get boring after a while. She seems to do loads better when using the X Factor though - SCYHO went #28[?] when just being sung onceon it, where as 'I Got You' is going to be lucky to scrape the top 20 with airplay and video play...

Surprised Muse have made it to the top 40... Looks like they learnt from their mistake of making 'Undisclosed Desires' a download only track. I'm glad it's charting, for variety.

You make out her label has actually been consistent and reliable with this release  Her video was released a mere 10 days before physical release - a date that radio revolves around apparently. Nuff said -_-
