Is it worth downloading?

I'm usually bored by those speeches.

And there's not really any inductee that I really want to see. Well, Stu Hart could be interesting but that's it.

Aww. I love the Maryse's style in the ring. But I agree about the before she hits the ropes thing . I dunno why, but i've always been a huge fan of the divas wrestling. Maybe it was because I was watching religiously when it was good. i.e. Lita, Trish, Victoria, Molly Holly, Jazz, Ivory, Chyna etc... and I just followed them since.
Yeah i'm not normally fussed on the HOF really. Watching it this year made me think it was quite good this year though. Last year was ok too but thats because it was Stone Cold's induction

I don't think I have ever been so anxious before a PPV. :D

And I have to wait until tomorrow evening to see it. Damn work.

Rumour going around that some suprise familiar faces may show up tonight.

I dunno. But i keep getting visions that Bret is gonna (Really) screw Vince... Probably by bringing people TnA to interrupt or something LMFAO!
Maybe? :kink:

I guess it's Austin who does something in Bret vs. Vince.

Maybe even special referee or something.

I don't think I have ever been so anxious before a PPV. :D

Not the only one. I'm gonna watch it somewhen in the week. :D

R Truth & Morrison Vs ShoMiz is confirmed to be opening the show. Looking at updates as well it seems HBK & Taker will close the show. ^_^

Oh no. If 'taker vs. HBK is closing the show, I think it's inevitable that 'Taker will lose. Surely?

BLOODY 'ECK! This 'Taker vs. Michaels match is just as EPIC as last years!!

Best match ever? It's a contender that's for sure!

Did any old faces turn up after all?

No old faces, really.

Here's a quick rundown of how I thought the show went.

Tag Title match - I think this could've been given longer. It was a nice opener.

Randy Orton v. Rhodes v. DiBiase - Considering it had such poor hype, it was a fun three-way. Orton shined here, and was really over with the audience. Great ending, too.

Money in the Bank - Ugh, I'll go on record and say this was officially the worst MITB match, ever. Some guys hardly got a look in, it really was a clusterf***. Some nice moments with Evan Bourne especially, but everything felt restricted for some reason. It didn't seem like a lot of thought went into the bumps.

Triple H v. Sheamus - OK, this was fair. Not great, but not bad. Better than I was expecting. I really thought Sheamus might go over.

Rey Mysterio v. CM Punk - A great sprint. Punk's character is seriously awesome. Mysterio looked well in this match.

Bret Hart v. Vince McMahon - This was just an absolute MESS. Honestly, I was not expecting anything great, but it was worse than I anticipated. Man, the small angle with Vince paying off the Hart family; seriously, what the f***? Terribly stupid booking. It didn't help that the crowd only came alive everytime Bret teased the Sharpshooter, but to be fair, what did they have to cheer?

Chris Jericho v. Edge - A really strong match. Probably one of the best they've ever had. It's a shame the crowd were killed in the previous match, but the false finishes created some drama.

Batista v. Cena - Another match that turned out better than expected. The crowd were hot, and the story was fun. Damn I didn't realise how small Batista is now...

Undertaker v. Shawn Michaels - I was pumped that this went on last. Match of the night, by far, but I'm not sure if it topped last years. I would've hated to be in the position they were in, but it was still epic. The conclusion to this match was just beautiful. Taker telling Shawn to "stay down", showing sympathy to a near broken Michaels, who returns the favour with a slap in the face (in classic Michaels fashion). Taker then hits a killer Tombstone. Unbelievable moment which really made this match. It reminded me of Michaels v. Flair at Wrestlemania 24, with Shawn mouthing "I'm sorry, I love you" before closing the match with a Sweet Chin Music. Just magnificent.

Overall, a good Wrestlemania, in my opinion. Much more enjoyable than last years, and the main events totally delivered.

Just finished it. Some thoughts from me as well:

ShowMiz vs. John Truth - Should have been longer but they used the short time they had well. I was surprised that this was almost a squash, though.

Orton vs. Rhodes vs. Dibiase - Much better than expected. Very good acting by Dibiase and especially Rhodes. And Orton actually hit the punt for once. Orton was the right winner considering the HUGE reaction he gets but I have no idea what Dibiase and Rhodes should do now.

MITB - The usual spotfest. Some great ones (like AirBourne from the ladder and the Ziggler bumps; that guy has to be the best bumper/seller in the WWE right now) but also some awkward moments like Hardy trying for 10 or 20 seconds to remove the briefcase and Kane having to hold the ladder for Christian. There were also TOO many people in the match. I can't even remember if Shelton actually did anything. He normally does something crazy but he didn't this time. Surprising winner but I like it. I hope Swagger actually wins a title.

HHH vs. Sheamus - The match was quite good, probably Sheamus' best match so far in the WWE. But WHY did HHH have to win? It makes no sense. Way to go to make the new stars that you badly need, WWE.

Rey vs. Punk - Markout moment when I saw CM Punk come out with a microphone in hand. He is a PROMO GOD! Sorry but I'm a fan. :kink: Match was good but MUCH MUCH MUCH too short. I hope they get 15+ minutes at Extreme Rules. Serena and Gallows were great at ringside. And the wrong winner. Rey having to join the SES could have made for a great storyline, IMO.

Hart vs. McMahon - TERRIBLE! Bret barely did anything except hit Vince with some stick and a chair. Crowd was pretty dead as well. It's good that Bret had a positive Wrestlemania moment but this match sucked even more than I expected.

Jericho vs. Edge - Wow. I did not expect something that good considering that Edge looked pretty bad ever since returning and Jericho hasn't been that good lately as well but they delivered. On par with Cena vs. Batista, wrestling-wise probably a bit better. And a sick-looking spot post-match. I hope for a ladder or maybe even TLC match at Extreme Rules. Oh, and the right guy won, IMO.

Women Match - The typical mess. Some of the finishers looked good. Gail's and Eve's looked horrible. At least Vickie was great (already in the backstage segment earlier as well). Although I could live without her trying to get heel heat by copying moves of her dead husband. :/

Batista vs. Cena - I did expect a good match and it was a really good match. Cena just knows how to work a crowd. Wrong winner, though. I would have wanted them to have Batista win maybe 2 or 3 more matches against Cena to make it look like Cena REALLY can't beat him. Would have been an even bigger moment when he finally does. But Cena going to his haters to pose with the belt was awesome. You gotta love him for the little things like that.

Undertaker vs. Michaels - MOTN obviously. Just as good as last year's which I did not expect at all. And the finish was just awesome. And the right guy won. They need to let a young guy who can profit from it end the streak.

Overall a VERY good show. Probably the best Wrestlemania since 19 although I would have to rewatch some of the others to say for sure.

I'm still to see this and i haven't seen anything you guys has discussed here. I think i'm gonna wait till the end of the week. Get college out the way first :D

After rewatching everything, I have to say that Edge vs. Jericho might actually be my MOTN. Especially the counters to the spear were all great. At least it's very close to HBK vs. Taker.

And Rey vs. Punk probably was one of the best sub-10 minute WWE matches ever.

I really shouldn't, but I did watch some of this year's Wrestlemania.

I quite enjoyed the Orton vs DiBiase vs Rhodes three way - would have preferred their fathers doing it 25 years ago but hey ho!

Watched Sheamus v Triple H cos the latter always puts on a good show and I really enjoyed it. The former will have gained a lot of respect for it.

Bret Hart v Vince McMahon was ultimately unnecessary. I guess neither is up to wrestling any more.

Undertaker v Michaels made it all worth watching. Two guys who know how to put on a show and did so.

I skipped the rest.

I skipped the rest.

You should definately watch Punk vs. Rey, Edge vs. Jericho and Cena vs. Batista if you already enjoyed the 3-way and HHH vs. Sheamus.
