February 27, 201015 yr the film wont be massive because the ODEON is not screnning it and this is the biggest cinema company round england Odeon is screening it.
February 27, 201015 yr Have they finally agreed a deal wirg disney then Yes. All cinemas will be showing the film, and it's a pretty much guarantee that the film will be huge.
February 27, 201015 yr Are we 100% sure it's getting a single release? It may be like 'Keep Holding On', or even Leona's 'I See You'. I expect she'll have a proper lead single for her album at a later date. Yeah I'm pretty sure that this is what will happen. I doubt it's lead single, just for the film.
February 27, 201015 yr Top 20 The song has got no radio support in the US, after being released there 5 weeks ago, and it isn't exactly selling like crazy on iTunes as well. But as the release of the movie is near, I'm sure it'll become a moderate hit on downloads alone in the US and since it's Avril, it should do well in the UK too.
February 27, 201015 yr This is a great comeback single from Avril, a worthy one, though slightly different from what she's been most familiar with. I deserves top 5 and if there is good enough promo (also on the back of the film) it will get it. It is a comeback and this also helps. It could be even higher but it depends on the release date. Thumbup from me
February 27, 201015 yr I can't see it going top 40 tbh, absouletly awful song. Considering how well Jedward did I don't think quality of song is the main factor in chart positions. It depends on her fan support, if it does chart highly I bet it will drop really quickly. I voted top 20. I find her screeching on this quite awful to be honest and I loved I'm With You.
February 28, 201015 yr Author I can't see it going top 40 tbh, absouletly awful song. Since when has *that* ever stopped a song being a hit? :w00t:
February 28, 201015 yr Low top 100 probably, possibly scraping top 75 at best. Won't be getting much higher with no promo or buzz at all. All it has is that it's featured in a film and it's not being treated as an official single anyway. So yeah, it'll be like Ne-Yo's song that scraped the top 100 the other week from that other film, most likely. Edited February 28, 201015 yr by superbossanova
February 28, 201015 yr Avril is amazing but whilst this is good it's also a bit bleh. I'm gonna agree with Brayfish here. It will enter the top 40 due to the film being so huge but I doubt it'll make the top 10. It's just a bit dreary and I don't think it's even going to be on her new album from what I've read. I just can't see it taking off regardless of it being her.
February 28, 201015 yr If anyone votes flop needs their ears tested, no way its going to flop with all the film promo. That's a strong statement Mikey. Yes it'll be a hit, but I find it really uncomfortable listening to it and my ears certainly don't need to be tested. :P but I found it really difficult to listen to with all that screaming, and I was expecting something more her style, so quite disappointing :( I agree 100% I saw the video this morning on The Box and was interested in hearing what the song was like. The verses are excellent and performed brilliantly. However, I really found myself cringing at the chorus. Avril + screaming vocals = FAIL ...but it will be a hit because it's Avril. However, I'm left disappointed by this track. I voted Top 20. Edited February 28, 201015 yr by Hitstastic
February 28, 201015 yr Are we 100% sure it's getting a single release? It may be like 'Keep Holding On', or even Leona's 'I See You'. I expect she'll have a proper lead single for her album at a later date. I hope so. Avril's best single, imo, is 'My Happy Ending' and she's never released a single since that I've liked anywhere near as much. 'Girlfriend' was good in a novelty so-bad-it's-good kinda way, and at least she sang in pitch on those tracks. To me, she's slightly off key at times on the chorus to 'Alice' which is what I find most uncomfortable when listening to this song.
February 28, 201015 yr Well it is on iTunes now. Released today. I don't expect much of an appearance until the movie is out though. I will try and find where she said it won't be on her new album like 'Keep Holding On' was.
February 28, 201015 yr Posted on 8th January by Joao; Avril's first single from her 4th record is titled "Alice Underground" and will also serves as a single for Tim Burton's Disney film 'Alice in Wonderland', out on March 5th. From Variety.com, with an article on how Disney is holding on to the soundtrack formula to sell records and will be behind this song when it's out. Avril's biggest fansite confirmed it as the first single too. Quote: Attracting marquee crooners. Much like penning the opening song for a James Bond film, top-shelf performers savor the opportunity to write a Disney tune. In March, the studio will throw its weight behind Avril Lavigne's Alice Underground; from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland,as well as Daft Punk's sonic Tron Legacy score in December. Expect a new Avril Lavigne album this Spring/Summer.
