February 28, 201015 yr Author Elëdan One point is going to one amazing song that I personally wasn't expecting to qualify into the final at all. Let's go surfing by The Drums this is. Having previously received 3 points in the Semi Final stage this song has just suffered from the immense quality of this contest hence it only just scraped one point from me. Two points I'm delighted to give to one of the few foreign songs in the contest, Je Me Perds sent by Espen, one of the most underrated and brilliant countries in the bjsc. Obviously that was going to happen: judging by the similarity to my favourite band of all-time, Bloc Party, to Delphic I am giving them and BaNG 3 points. One of the two auto-qualifying entries is also being awarded by Elëdan. Quotosibb never fails to send something amazing as an AQ-er, with the exception of bjsc_xvii obviously... So Skool Daze gets those 4 points, 2 points for the epic music on the background and 2 points for Wiley. There's no room for black females in my heart sorry. (kink etccc). Five points go straight to this number one hit in Germany. I now see what is so good about this song. Even though it seems annoying and irritating, nevermind repetitive as hell, it's so charming and i absolutely love the sound of woman's voice in it... oh i give 5 points to Zechonia and Aura Dione, who i have not voted for in the Semi Final. Six points are going to the country that finally got back to form (it all went downhill since MutMut ;( ) - Kingdom Of Shadow aka The Great Kingdom. Not obsessed with Tinashé's voice or anything, but in combination with the music that I hear accordion in the whole thing is beyond awesome. Shivers down my back. 1:45-2:00 is. the. best. thing. ever. The next song went from 10 points in the semi to unfortunately only 7 in the final. It's '81. When Nickodonia doesn't send generic pop females (do NOT include Laura, Leddra, Mira in here please) - it's always a good sign that i will most likely like the song! Masterpiece! The bottom of the Top 3 in the voting came Beach House and Tinnmark who (almost) never fails to connect their entries with Norway, be it artists from this country or the word's just in the title of the song. LOL. One of the best songs of 2008 is next up here, My Drive Thru. Couldn't help but give at least 10 points to incredible Santi. 'Dated-ness' isn't a valid factor when it comes to one of your favourite artists to-date. Anyways, ten points to Cadbury. And finally the highest mark, twelve points, is going to the longest song sent to bjsc so far, Majesty Snowbird. Even though i'm getting slightly bored by it already there was no other choice but giving it the best points. 10-minute epicness. Seriously incredible in headphones! ohmylife. I feel like a deserve an award for deciphering that, ha! I shouldn't complain though, somewhere in there is points for me! Shocking. An all-male runaway top two seems to be forming.
