March 6, 201015 yr I listened to Night the other day actually, I enjoyed it :D I recall thinking that the tone of her voice reminded me of Karin Dreijer Andersson.
March 6, 201015 yr Just took a listen to 'Night' (as Rich said he liked it and our tastes are pretty similar) and it's actually pretty great. The cover is a bit scary though LOL :( also do you have a link to this EP you could send me please Ben? :D I would love to hear the other tracks.
March 6, 201015 yr Author ;o Where did you hear about this Rich? link coming your way jonjo. i can't stand is the best track on this. <3 edit: jk night is. omg so good.
March 6, 201015 yr I'm glad I read this topic now actually! As you said 'Night' is definately the best track, but it's still a solid/strong EP! Thanks for introducing me to her! :o ADDS TO LIST OF POSSIBLE BJSC ENTRANTS :kink:

Pitchfork, I'm trying to diversify what I listen to a bit and I do really like a lot of songs I've been listening to, just don't 'love' any with a passion as yet. But something will click if I persist I'm sure.
March 7, 201015 yr Author I found Beep My Beep via Pitchfork if that counts. ;o Dunno if you ended up liking it or not. PF are goodzzz, you're not gonna find TOO much from it but they post the occasional track I'm sure you'd like. They've posted about White Hinterland, Zola Jesus, Staygold, etcetc. (I actually found out about Backseat from PF before anyone else on BJ raved about it). Oh, and they post news about Robyn faster than any other source I know. Yayyy diversity.

Oh, and they post news about Robyn faster than any other source I know. Yayyy diversity. It was alright, not one of my favourites. Backseat I found on Swedish iTunes funnily enough and downloaded because I'd read that Damien Adore was an alias of Salem Al Fakir (who I love). I've got a few sources I follow, only 5 or 6 but most are pop or focus on a specific country, so this one should be useful as I doubt those blogs would cover much that is written on Pitchfork.
March 7, 201015 yr Pitchfork  Don't always agree with their views on low scored albums but generally anything they give high marks to is pretty special. Like this for instance!
April 2, 201015 yr This is absolutely amazing. The most atmospheric release so far this year. All 6 songs are brilliant. Search this out now and give it a listen.

But something will click if I persist I'm sure. Bwa ha ha! Soon we will tear you away from the comfort of your pop wonderland and drag you down to the deepest depth of indiedom! This isn't too bad, even though it does sound like a Disentegration cast-off sung by Florence Welch.
