April 15, 201015 yr Author Nothing personal Addy  At least you might or might not be in my love chart (I might or might not have forgotten about you Freeze :drama:) Saturday according to the most recent dates given in the 'green room' thread... Oh OK, shame I'm going to be out all day, will have to try and do it on my phone... I think i was the second person to have voted for hurts in the banlist. SORRY :( That's cool, I get it, tbh it's looking like they might not be the right act to send anyway.
April 15, 201015 yr Eeeee! I've found someone I can talk about 80s $h!t with  If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I know what you are saying, but Dare is easilly in my top 10 albums ever. I saw the League live at the Sage in Gateshead two years ago, and they haven't changed at all, they played the whole of Dare and then a GH set  Haha, I love a huge amount of 80's music and we both have similar levels of love for ABBA by the looks of things too :D . I'm 20, so missed out on a great era in music, but have loved going back to those years and making some fantastic discoveries  . How old are you? That gig sounds amazing! I'm guessing they didn't play my favourite Human League track, A Crow And A Baby? That has one of the best electro basslines ever and is quite possibly the most chilling piece of music I have ever heard! Would love for them to remix and remaster that song. Yeah, it does look that way :D I'm 25, so I didn't really live through much of the 80s either, but i've explored 80s music, through my own research and through my partner who's a big fan, has a website about a band called Japan, and runs 80s nights. No it was brilliant, they didn't do that song no, but they did literally the whole of Dare, including Get Carter on Casiotone  I can't wait for the new album :D
April 15, 201015 yr Cool  It's so hard to be someone, it's so hard to be unknown :P WE NEED LOVE LOVE LOVE x 3

Nightporter and Life In Tokyo are my favourites of theirs. Have you heard of a band called The Modern? I think they're down on the BJSC entries list, I can imagine you really liking them! Get Carter was never really one of my faves on the album, I was always thankful it was a short number  . It must have been amazing to hear and see the whole album being performed though!
April 15, 201015 yr Nothing personal Addy  At least you might or might not be in my love chart (I might or might not have forgotten about you Freeze :drama:) It's okay if you have though. We hardly ever talk :heehee: :drama: Well that and I'm hardly ever visible in the rest of the Buzzjack forum.. Edited April 15, 201015 yr by Freeze
April 15, 201015 yr Author We should more often, but I can't stand MSN tbh. Someone tried to add me in a group convo the other day and I blocked them :kink: Are you on Facebook? It's so hard to be someone, it's so hard to be unknown :P WE NEED LOVE LOVE LOVE x 3 I was going for Agnes, but yeah whatever :kink: I have a few Japan albums, think I'm missing two of their major releases though. Which ones are you missing? My BF runs http://www.nightporter.co.uk so I reckon I can hook you up. Nightporter is quite atmospheric, but Life In Tokyo is f***ing amazing  I have heard of The Modern, but I only joined the contest in XIV, so I didn't hear their entry, and somehow I have totally avoided hearing anything by them... Do you like any of the European 80s acts, like the Twins, Modern Talking and Gazebo? No I know what you mean, but the Casiotone is an amazing thing, I had one as a kid, it was the instrument used by Trio for Da Da Da if you don't know it. Yes it was really cool. The hidden gem on that album is defintiely The Things That Dreams Are Made Of. I was really glad that it finally got released as a single and made the top 75 in 2008.

Just Adolescent Sex and Obscure Alternatives on CD. I should be able to find them quite cheap online, I've just not got round to purchasing them yet. The Modern are immense! I can send you their album in a zip file if you want? It's only available to import from Indonesia otherwise  As far as European 80's acts go, I've not really got into many. I've bought albums by Clan Of Xymox, Desireless and Vangelis but have stuck to British acts mostly. You seem to be a lot more knowledgeable about 80's music than me as I've not heard of those acts you mentioned  . Modern Talking and Gazebo sound pretty good from the youtube vids I've found, shall have to check out more of their stuff! The Things That Dreams Are Made Of is really great! I bought that single in 2008 and I thought it was sampled really well in that Richard X/Kelis song.
April 16, 201015 yr OI. It wasn't me who added you in to that multi conversation, I don't think.
April 16, 201015 yr Did I say you did? No. :kink: You said you blocked someone who added you into the conversation, and I was in the conversation. Thought I'd cover up my tracks.
April 16, 201015 yr Author But I didn't block you did I? Sorry if so :( Was Theo part of the conversation? That would explain a lot :kink:
